Tech tips and tricks. I was a low spec gamer, playing games on a Dell Latitude e6420 i5 2520m at the beginning of 2021. Seeing as my laptop had a weak 2nd gen processor and Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics, I was always on the lookout to see how i could boost performance on my laptop via tweaks, registry changes and all kinds of power settings. So in a nutshell Ill share some of my tips to tune any laptop for better performance, be it an entry level low spec machine or a entry to mid level gaming laptop... lets get some better FPS shall we!
it still doesnt work for me im using an Acer Aspire 3 A315 57g with Intel i5 - 1035g1. ive followed all steps up until the end of Step 1, and the Cpu Core and Cpu Cache are still locked in FIVR... can someone help?
hm, im surprised ur 1650 dont want to perform higher. did u enable the variable undervolted/overclocked curve again after giving more Wattage ? Just asking out of curiousity as the clock didnt move even 1 MHz. I was on the hunt to find a way to get rid of the GPU TDP and found your vids. My GTX goes up to ~2200MHz, under full workload stuck at ~1900MHz because of Powerthrottling. Ive made u fully customized heatsink so C is not an issue. Need a method for unlocked TDP :)
Thanks for the video. Not entirely sure if it worked. HW monitor is logging the undervolt, but when I check task manager it doesn't show Throttlestop 🤔
I've followed all of the steps successfully, but the "unlock adjustable voltage" is still grey out. The virtualization and memory integrity also off. What's the issue now? Im using lenovo laptop with win11
thank you, managed to set elden ring prio to high even while playing online, which you could not do manually because it yelled ""access denied"" every time
Generally speaking a good option BUT you forgot that certain cores can clock higher than others without a big temp impact. If you supply all cores with the same amount of power equally, those cores will be slowed down while other will still waste energy in form of heat conversion. So yes, you can do it like that but it´s less efficient than analyzing which cores are most efficient and only boosting those a little more instead. Despite that, it´s pertty much the only option you can do. If you have already improved cooling and done undervolting if possible.
Hello mate, Your tutorial is nice, but I met an issue. I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz Found out the CFG Lock 0x500 and Overclocking Lock 0x5AF At the last step, with both locks, got the following messages: successfully opened setup from VSS (got 10 (0xa) bytes) error: offset out of range. Did you open the right variable store? If you can help it will be appreciated ! :)
Since the plundervolt bullshit came about, i've spent so much time trying to fix this issue, spent so much time on it. Tried to fix it on and off for about a year or so (tried 2-3 times). I gave up, just around as this video seems to had been uploaded at that time. Today, i thought to myself, there must be a freaking way to solve this problem once and for all, as with this CPU temp, im pretty sure i could fry an egg (sunny side up). After following every step, exactly, i have to profess my love to you bro right now, im in heaven, the god damned CPU Core voltage is unlocked, Throttlestop finally has no restrictions. CPU: i7-8750H The only thing that i would like to add that its missing in this video is exiting GRUB. There are no commands, you just have to literally press the power button, after all the values have been successfully changed of course. You are a legend.
honestly from somone who has used it for a while i can tell you it has no benifit, it could even lag ur game reducing fps when it is trying to optimise files from the game
hello, i'm have a Dell G3 3500 with i7-10750H and GTX 1660ti. I wonder that I should open whispermode on Nvidia app or not. If I turn it off, the FPS will increase but the temperature always from 79* to 85*. And if i should turn off, what is the best setting to decrease my laptop temperature. Thank you !!!!!!
Hi, thanks for the video! Unfortunately, it did not work for me. I have a Acer Predator triton 300se with the i7 11370h. The process looked ok, but in the end, I can only change the turbo ratio limits, the undervolting is still grayed out.
Sadly it didn't work on my Realme Book Prime (i5 11320H). I've disabled SecureBoot, booted into grub via USB, put in the commands for 11th Gen Intel and both said successfully, rebooted into Windows but still no undervolting possible. I've also disabled Virtualization but still didn't work. I guess that they locked down the BIOS too much on my Realme Notebook (1.07). Any idea what I can try else?

I agree with FSR performance but you should keep things like terrain quality, global illumination and scattered object density to low since VRAMis limited. Also, turn on SSAO, it is worth the FPS hit. Lastly, if you don't mind fake frames, add an FSR3 mod into the game.
7:02 when i go into core isolation settings it says "The page you are trying to access has no supported features and its not available", how can I solve it ?
I have had windows corrupt itself from disabling the pagefile. So its not an option for me. I just let be auto size and force it on a seperate drive from the OS.
Could this method be used to instead unlock a bios admin password if they have a laptop with a admin locked bios password keeping them from accessing the bios settings? Like as in simply correcting the bios password to set the password back to off and flash the edited password free bios back into place?
awesome video answered what i kinda figured. so running a asus from best buy 7 yrs old lol first new pc i bought since 2000 since i built my own and the manager could not find the on sale floor model for $800 so i got the top tier $2500 16gb ram and 6gb geforce asus which in 2017 was pretty good just now having issues with cod and new steam stuff so gonna up ram to 32gb and maybe new 12gb or 24gb geforce i think my trouble will be over. back in the day we used game drive if you dont know what this is you having been pc gaming as long as i have. coming from 1979 to now with pcs yeah ive seen a thing or two. and the awful days of ram stack on pre pentium processors lol virtual memory tricks 80386 circus acts and putting pentiums on 386 processor lol so in 1995 i had packard bell haha 80386 sx not dx no co processor with 1mb ram could not run doom because it needed 4mb ram $100 at best buy haha in 95 that is. ide sys adapter for cd rom $100 at best buy haha just to install games ahh the good old days of dos.yes its all snake oil just follow this guys lead i am looking no further for my problem
I tested many games, and I highly suggest you turn off Threaded Optimization. It will cause less frame to frame jumps and stabilizes games quite a lot on multi-core processors like 16 core Ryzen or 13th/14th gen intel
