1. I notice a fiber laser interacts with steel and changes colors. Are you able to stop at a certain color, and would that color be permanent? 2. I notice the laser changes the way it sweeps across the path of the design. Does it choose to change the way it sweeps across, or, do you need to program it to sweep a certain way to make it look uniform? Thank you.
Great observations! 1. Yes, you can do colors with a fiber laser. Different settings will give different colors/finishes. They are permanent but not super durable depending on the finish. 2. It’s called an auto rotate cross hatch. The laser sweeps across the design at opposing and different angles every time to give it a smooth and clean engraving.
Okay this is either 24k PLATED, a scam, or just fucking retarted… gold is one of the softest metals on earth making it basically the worst material to make a barrel with. And if its plated you gold you really gotta be selling it as that cause otherwise this is a scam.. those parts are probably 0.03% “24k gold” and the other 99.07% could be anything.
Brother it is not a scam, it’s obviously gold plated. If it was solid gold It would be worth more than my house 😂 check out the rest of my videos. I do 24k gold plating on handgun parts. You are correct, it is not the most durable coating on the planet but there is nothing quite like the luster and color or real 24k gold plating. As for the barrel, any coating will be wore off with a decent amount of shooting. Some people like art you know ;)
I also have a JPT 50, how do you, or what do you use in order to view the actual slide etc. you're engraving and overlay on the table for a live view? I am stumped.
