I love hiking and spending time in the forest. Even though I love nature, I was not a gardening type of guy. It was my wife's passion for houseplants that inspired me to do gardening 12 years ago. Ever since then I have collected and propagated more than 300 types of plants both decorative and edible types, and I am loving it. I have learned a lot about taking care of and growing plants through trial and error experience, especially with tropical plants. I know many people are looking for ways of taking care of their plants or how to propagate their plants or names and varieties of plants. I created this channel to answer those questions with my knowledge and experience. I hope my videos help you in some way.
If you live in Malaysia and are interested in buying any plants, check out my online store shopee.com.my/puchongplants or PM me if you need any plants.
thanks for the video. I don't really like variegated plants unless it's obviously natural. The yellow edges aren't natural and go away if you take leaf cuttings. I wasn't sure about the naming since it's changed it's name and I was never really interested in them before though I've handled thousands in my old job and know NEVER to over water one. 😉 I just bought a really large D zeylanica named that and have a few small ones which were just labelled Sansevieria. So if you grow D.t.L from leaf cuttings what is it then called? It seems odd that it would change it's name but odd things happen. :)
you say too common, I think you just mean very common. 'Too' means it's a bad thing. Maybe that's what you meant but I don't think so since you didn't explain why it's too common.
I found my money plant pot was filled with this white bugs, much of the root has died but some of it seems okay. Going to try this remedy. Any suggestions on how to reuse the soil?
I bought my first ever Ficus Elastica in early summer 2024 Robusta, I let it completely dry out before watering I’m getting a new leaf every four weeks. I’ve since added a Ficus Elastica Burgundy I purchased it from a garden centre in the North East of England. The soil the Burgundy was in was completely bone dry as In didn’t look it had been watered for at least a few weeks 😳 I took all the soil off so I just had roots and then I repotted it straight away with fresh soil & Perlite and gave it a good drink after only 8 days I have it’s first leaf just starting to unfurl. I keep my Ficus Elastica’s indoors beside a South facing window 🍃🪴
A good ratio is 2 parts potting soil, 1 part perlite and 1 part cactus or succulent mix. This combination ensures that the soil remains loose and drains well, preventing water from sitting around the roots.
Here are few tips you can follow: Place it under partially shade area but bright. Use well draining acidic soil but can use mulch to retain moisture. Watering just to keep the soil moist and avoid waterlogging. As for fertilizernuse acid-forming fertilizer. Only prune after flowering.

Gardenia buds may drop before completing its growth due to any of these reasons: Water Issues: Too much or too little water. Nutrient Deficiencies: Lack of essential nutrients like magnesium and iron. Environmental Stress: Temperature changes, low humidity, or incorrect lighting. Pests: Insects like aphids and spider mites. Soil pH: Soil that's too alkaline instead of acidic.
Thank you for all the information. The music is too loud, though, and it is distracting and drowning your voice, which is not good since I'd like to hear you better.
Thank you friend, this is the only video I could find that showed cuttings of the vine and not the plant itself. Thank you very much, now I can finally cut my Arrow Head back. My vine is about 10 foot long with about 3 4 foot long growing out of the 10 foot vine. 🙏💖🌹😊
If you don't want the plant to grow tall, just cut it. Of course it will look sad in beginning but not to worry, it will branch out many. It will look more bushier and beautiful. The cut of branch you can propagate also. This video will be helpful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1sHnWH1QfaI.htmlsi=dR6RRRwmaGTwHe3t
Gardenia buds might not bloom due to issues like not enough sun, wrong watering, bad soil, extreme temperatures, or pests/diseases. Fixing these problems could help them bloom.
