Hi! I love videogames and LOVE Retrogaming Shows. I’ve never missed a Classic Gaming Expo in Vegas, been to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo a gazillion times and used to be one of the co-organizers of the NWCGE Shows in Seattle. Helped with the classic game rooms at PAX and Sakura Con as well. Retrogaming rules! I want to help out folks who can’t attend these shows or missed a panel. My goal is to provide these recordings as a service to you, from one retrogamer to another, enjoy!
Full disclosure: I used to work for Microsoft (but not in a Xbox or gaming-related role) and any and all opinions expressed in my videos are my own. Opinions expressed in panel recordings etc. are not necessarily shared by me.
Wow. I look so young here, can't believe I was still in highschool. The show is so much bigger now. Now I am Vice President of Amazon here in Portland. (Gary Enigma)
Thanks for the detailed review! I really want to pick one of these up but I’m slightly hesitant because so many people have reported oil leaks. Do you do anything special storage-wise to prevent leaks?
Don’t Even Think About using this Saw on Something A Tad Bigger Than The 8” covered tip it’s rated for. It will Bind up on you and you will have the makings of a Cracked Case under the Oil Chain take, that looks like the screws on the case have come loose. The reason why I say that is because that happened to me. Otherwise it is an extremely good saw for simple use. Otherwise get the bigger chainsaws without the end tip guard.
Bummer to hear that! Did you use a bigger bar on the saw or did you take the tip off? Was it hardwood or conifers? We've used the heck out of ours (it's our favorite clean-up saw now), mostly with Doug firs (pretty soft wood), Red Alders (medium tough) and Bigleaf Maple (hard and tough) and it has been holding up really well.
Be interesting to know if they fit DCMPW1600N I’m currently torn between Milwaukee and dewalt, majority of my tools and batteries are dewalt but they just miss a couple of tools Milwaukee make
It's possible Purple's canned Lynx AVP title might not of been the first to run with the 3 seperate species campaign concept. PC 1993 Activision had in development :Aliens vs Predator: Nightmare on Ryushi allowed you to control a human, a predator or the alien queen, which gave three completely different games. With the Predator, it was an Operation Wolf -style shooterthat used the creature's infrared vision (as well as its triangular viewfinder). With humans, it was an adventure game playable with the mouse and seen through the character's eyes. Finally, the part with the alien queen was more strategic, you apparently had to design and deploy your troops to take control of the planet. The project seemed well advanced, since the game was announced in the Activision catalogs , but it finally collapsed during the summer of 93 due to licensing issues with Fox
Wow so many WTF anecdotes, Alien Queen considered porno in the UK, and any Tramiel being so helpful lol. 😄Neat stuff, always fun seeing the good digitization examples of costumes and stop motion, a very undervalued graphics method imo. In hindsight it is too bad AVP doesn't have a locked 15 FPS performance level, many of the earliest 3D games get a lot of flack for frame rates now Ie. the present where even 30 FPS isn't acceptable anymore.🙄Bitd I never noticed lag but now it is all people can say about it and the platform anymore.😮💨 Great stories and anecdotes about the people behind the game, easy for contemporary eyes to forget how much work and effort went into AVP Eg. three games in one.🙂
Great review, thanks for the chain bar info....another right handed only tool...thanks again dewalt!! So far the only true ambidextrous dewalt chainsaw is the DCCS674 and so far replacement chains are not available here in Canada and barely available in the U.S.
I also added a LockNLube coupler, but I also added a LockNLube swivel for the base of the hose. I just feel like it makes greasing a little less frustrating with the swivel. Another point with the coupler is that you can add attachments. One end of the attachment will have a Zerk that you lock onto and then the other end might have a 90° coupler or a 90° with a cut-out if you have a tight fit. The needle adapters say to use with a manual grease gun, but I just don't pull the trigger all the way in and it works just fine.
It's true that for bulk grease you would reverse the plunger lip, but that has nothing to do with the port. What they mean by bulk grease is that you would stick the end of the tube inside a container of bulk grease and pull the plunger back to suck in the grease. The port is for transferring grease from another grease gun which is typically pneumatic pumping from a bulk container. There would be no reason is this case to turn the lip around because you would not be using suction.
I really appreciate what Nightdive does. I’m really ignorant when it comes to most things involving computers. So if not for Nightdive, I wouldn’t be able to play most of these games.<3
This is great to see. Quake II is one of the best fps games ever, top of my list for sure. And discovering and playing that Lost Station level was one of the early highlights when I first played it. And this is the first time I've ever heard her say her name. "Jay-kways" Now I know for certain.
OMG- I screamed out loud when I put the lid back on and it worked!!! Thank you!!!! I hate throwing things away. Thank you for making this video and for making it easy to understand and do.😊
Life changing? Maybe not. But we've had two troublesome lids I could not figure out how to fix (was afraid of breaking them by trying) and that metal clip is definitely deformed on them!
