Sway Dasafo is a Music Artist, Executive Producer and Entrepreneur. He was born and raised in North London by Ghanaian parents. After spending a short time in Ghana during early childhood he returned to England where he developed a fascination for English literature. In later years this fascination combined with his love of music and knack for public speaking inspired the then budding music producer to vocal his own beats until 'a better rapper’ appeared. That 'better rapper’ was coaxed out of him by the encouragement of his peers and crowd reactions at rap battle competitions that he would later enter (and often win). Now armed with an arsenal of new music and content Sway walks into 2021 with a plethora of collaborative projects and new music ventures to look forward to.
This record was monumental. I performed in Amsterdam and Ministry of Sound for a sony games release party on both sides of the channel, and I remember Sway's sound changed everything I thought I knew about production, about rapping, everything. Those beats sounded so crisp, so huge, so deep, especially on that insane sound system in Ministry I haven't been the same since. Epic.
Sway. You are the most talented rapper from the UK without a doubt. Could and should of had plenty more bangers and a better career. Just don't know why you wasted your own career when it could of been so much more. Signature LP seems to have been the endgame for you when that should of been the beginning of your break out. I remember hearing the dotted lines freestyle and thinking this guy could be the greatest ever, then it never happened. Such a shame and of course I love the music we got from you but it just should of been much better of a career from you than what we got
Sway...I love this!!! I bought your debut as a teenager. I started rappin in 98 aged 10. Now I rap for the Lord...born again in 2015. Thank you for your music
No more cleaning job, minicab job. I'm going to be a rapper. I'm glad all is well sway. This bring back memories. My Ghanaian aunty esther played the demo at my bday, and let me keep the cd, fun times.
I’m from the US and Sway is one of my all time favorite rappers. I’ve been listening since the demo. He’s hilarious, poignant and smooth. Love this video can’t believe I’m just seeing it.
I have just finished watching Idris Elba's Fight Club on the BBC iPlayer. This is a truly cracking song, why has it not got more views? Very catchy and motivational, I am going to add this to my boxing workout playlist. This is perfect for a round of shadow boxing. Carlos :)
Sway from north London, grow up in the same area and new your siblings. You came to my mind and had to search you up. Good to see your doing music. 👏👏👏

Sway, all of your music was the blueprint to commercial UK rap, tinnie temper, and all that came after needs to give thanks to you as your music made it all possible. You were the inspiration for the music I made, though different its the idea of making music everyone can listen to
