Can this be used in conjunction with your rocket stove and say a semi truck alternator or a small wind turbine to generate electricity?

@@jfgsjs hi Mark thanks for your enquiry, I’m sorry there are no plans I just made the rocket stove from scrap metal that was lying around, as for the Sterling engine it was made in Sweden by a company that is no longer in business, they were trying to market them as way to utilize waste heat from wood boilers, generating electricity to feed back into the grid, I just happened to stumble on it,

Way too much steel for what you’re making. If you like fabrication this is your box. If you are building a bug out box there are smaller easier builds. Look on line.

It's not that big industry doesn't want us to have that stuff. It's that big government doesn't know how to tax it as heavily from end to end without us seeing it. That's why we cant have it.

Awesome video! Even better project! Do you have any build footage? Is it a stainless steel cap protruding Into the flame chamber of the rocket stove? How much air flow does the hot side of the Stirling cut off of the rocket stove? Can you give some dimensions?

Insulating that rocket stove should help it retain much more heat. I worked at a heat treat facility and we would use insulation in our 20 foot long furnaces that would withstand very high temperatures.

@@daveconway7109 wrapping that whole chimney with insulation should help it get to the required heat you need🤷. Talk to a heat treat shop that heat treats steel. They should be able to give you some used insulation or even some new. Careful with the insulation a respirator must be worn when handling it. It falls apart easy after it’s been through many thermal processes. I wish I lived next door to ya. I have many tools as well. Looking to add a small Metal milling machine next.

@daveconway7109
@daveconway7109 5 месяцев назад
A friend got it from the manufacturer in Sweden, they were making them for houses that are heated with wood, the idea was that the Sterling would utilize the waste heat and turn it into electricity to be put back in the grid, sadly the company went out of business
@willdenoble1898
@willdenoble1898 6 месяцев назад
If you close the fuel hatch and leave the only open ports being bottom air vent and top exhaust vent, it should burn much cleaner and actually even hotter, bc the air intake and exhaust outtake are totally seperate and the combustion bow forces the same amount of air into a smaller area, increasing the ramjet effect.
