Something special potentially is happing for us this season. Twice at home down to 10 men and still win. I actually thought we were sloppy at times against burow yet still win. Turner was playing well then gets injured and even Morris is well on form . Gbode potentially will be a star . Lets Last Waltz together and make that promotion. UTG .
It seems what ever eleven are picked by Mark bonner can all do their job and more.gillingham now have a good squad of players too choose from, looking very bright for the rest of the season.
In just a week we have managed to beat 2 top sides that were on our tail, seriously impressive from the lads, we continue like this we are def going up (and hopefully with the league 2 title) i know its early days, but still very impressive
Shads defensive blunder obviously very poor - but Ashby-Hammond desperately needs to sort things out. Penalty save and final block aside, a very average game from him.
Absolute schoolboy error by Shad that led directly to a goal for Crystal Place. Pleased to see young Marcus Wyllie off the mark with his first goal for GFC. I'm expecting great things from him this season and to be recognised as the best forward we've had for a long while, early days perhaps but interesting to watch his progress in a Gills shirt . . . .
Would rather have Gils played a 2nd leg against Swansea in the League Cup than participate in 3 group games in this uninteresting and valueless competition.
Brown was adjudged to be offside and that he headed the ball prior to Austin scoring. Slow-motion shows him to be level at worst and there’s no deviation of the ball as it goes over his head. Too close to call? Either way this is the stuff of football debate and shit happens no problem but that he waited SIX seconds after the ref signalled goal before putting his flag up is something I’ve never seen before in 45 years watching the game. The Gills will be thereabouts come May.
I’ve rewatched it at slow a handful of times. When the ball and player are in the same screen you have to assume striker gained his 3/4 foot advantage by great timing and good speed of a standing start or bent run . Has anyone got a crowd footage angle, my guess ( because it’s impossible to clearly see) is got to be offside.
If it was 'definitely' the right call why did it take him 25 minutes to make it? Not a single Gillingham player even appealed for offside. The officials were woeful all through.
An absolute crucial win away to a tough Notts County side. And what a beauty of a pass from Hutton for nevitt to score that goal. Another tough opponent awaits us next game. But we play at the fortress (priestfield) so we should def get a result out of that as well
0:47. What the hell? What a beauty of a goal. Takes one touch and then facing sideways plays a 50 yard pass along the deck that takes out 8 defenders from the game. Then the forward takes it around the goalkeeper. That was like something from the playstation. They better not give the goal of the month to some 40 yard strike. Youll see a fair few of them over the course of a season but its rare to see a goal like this
Its the sort of runs iv been waiting for jayden clarke to make since watching him for rb and dulwhich hes finally seems like hes gotten the pace of the step up in level
This is exactly what we have been missing for the past few seasons, 1-0 up, man gets sent off, but the passion, the determination, to keep tight at the back, and then to run up the pitch to try and score another goal. imagine what we can do with a full strength squad. UTFGGG
Wow , we’re they playing no offsides and monkey rush keepers . Jayden was practically standing in Chatham for the last one . And notice the swift glance the ref gives to the lino for his first one. Thanks lino 🤙
If u look at the last goal its surprisingly onside; i was of the view that it was miles offside from where i was sitting but after looking at it again it is just about onside so the linesman made an excellent call.
Nah its definitely a second yellow unluckly one really but if he don't take the man a little there they break away bit like ehmers one. But had more players back think its also the speed that he goes in to it
Certainly true that TR did a lot of falling over, feigning injuries and complaining, with their manager regularly putting his arm around the fourth official and whispering in his ear about this that and who knows what else. Pathetic tactic really, should concentrate on coaching his side to defend properly and take their chances in front of goal.
Im of the belief that it was a clear cut yellow card both times. Also the ref didnt give anything else pretty much so for Coleman to be sent off it had to be extremely blatant.
That passion and resilience that we showed when we got that red card to not only win the game, but also score and EXTRA 2 goals is seriously impressive. That's something we didn't have last season but I'm really happy we have now. COME ON YOU GILLS
@@OakleyPlayzMC I actually thought Andrews looked quite good when he came on..just think we need a striker to get us 20 goals..we just don’t have that. The difference in the two teams in this game was billy sharp.. he will get 20 goals this season
@@richardknight5510 What we need is a fit Nevit and Andrews playing as twin strikers up front with Dack just in behind them in front of a central midfielder. We then need to decent wide midfield players. We have one in Nolan. We could also do with a couple of goof overlapping wingbacks. And of course a solid central defensive and a reliable goalkeeper. 1-4-3-1-2. But you are right in that we need goals. So far in the league 4-1-0-1-0 and the 4 was against Carlisle who are strugglers at the bottom.
