❤ ”Make them tell you no, don’t tell yourself no.” It’s really ourselves that’s our biggest enemy especially with the mental including depression and anxiety.
Your video made my day. My 19 year old daughter. Arrived yesterday to Great Lakes. I miss her so much and just searching content that makes me feel better. I believe so much on her and I can’t wait for graduation and hear all her stories and huge her 💖
Just keep sending her prayers and make sure that you get her friends and family to write to her. The letters were the only thing I looked forward to on Sundays. She’s going to call you in tears, just be strong for her and tell her to stick through.
When she started talking about Why i started crying omg. I knew i wanted it but actually thinking about why just solidifies this want. Ill leave a much better person, and ill leave knowing ill make a difference.
Shae. I’ve been watching your videos for well over 3yrs now and the spirit of God came upon me to remind you of a key component of this walk with Christ. “If any man wishes to follow me, he must first deny himself, taken up his cross and follow. It is in our human nature (yes, even as believers) to long for an identity “outside” of Christ. This is because our purpose is driven by how we identify. I want you to be encouraged Shae. We live in a world that often demand we place our “identifiers” ahead of our Christian IDENTITY. When we do, our God loves us enough to reset our course back to him and our TRUE self. Woman, Sailor, wife, friend, democrat, republican, adventurer, mother ect…. All of these are identifiers, but cannot complete us. Lastly, be strong and of good courage, because the Lord your God is with you. Sincerely
Detrick wow. I really appreciate you taking the time to write these kind words. It’s so challenging to not question why we are taking different places, but I know God always has the upper hand and his plans are always good for us. I really appreciate you taking the time to connect. It means a lot.
Great video, you’re spot on! I was in the Marines from 03-07. I was young and dumb then. I’m trying to get back in at 40. I guess that kind of makes me old and dumb now lol, but I’m looking at pretty much any branch right now. Even though I was in the Marines that has been over 17 years ago they said I would have to go back through basic. AF, Navy, Coast Guard, or Army I don’t really care I just want to get in with the reserves. Also, for the older people thinking about it. I have heard the Army just bumped up their age waiver to 43. Good luck everyone! I wish you all the best!!!
He’s getting out after 8 years because the navy isn’t for him. Did he reup after 4 and then decide it wasn’t for him or did he sign up for 8 years from the start?
The way the US Military is today with pronouns, trans rights, LGBTQ is not a machine that is made for war. Women should not be on war ships, it only creates drama, fights and pregnancy. Men need to focus on the job at hand not on the girl next to him. I was in 10 years as Hospital Corpsmen. 1981 1991. Took 8 years to make E-6. Sailor of the Quarter and Sailor of year. What lead to me getting out was bad leadership. Poor command structure. Todays generation has brought in Woke Admirals and Generals. Guys how's taking a shower with a gut with tits and a penis. Sex change surgeries, the list goes on and on. Not in the Navy I used to serve in. Go to college or trade school you will save time and money.
Im 25 i just moved home a month ago after living on my own for a couple years.and eventually in my truck for months. In another state. Im lacking purpose. Motivation is gone. I cant keep job hopping. And struggling. I need stability in my life. Working out is my life. My twin brother was in the marines for 4 years and i see how much it benifited him. Im so lonely. I hate my hometown. Im out of options. My back is against the wall. Drowning in bills. and ill always regret not joining. So i think its time to go. This is so inspiring. Ive watchs 100s of navy videos thank god i cane across yours. Thanks
I was sworn in yesterday for the Navy and my job will be an ITS on a submarine!! I can’t wait for class a school after boot camp!! I also can’t wait to be a submariner!! Hoo rah!! 💖
Transport pilot , air refuelling pilot agree 100% ,Fighter pilot not in a million years, not tough enough physically or mentally, nor the killer instinct needed for intense air combat, keep political correctness out of the military.
You must be insane to go there in the first place what for? They will scream on you that you piss your pants and later get killed or injured money you can get somewhere else
idk.... imo, if ur excited enuf about bootcamp, theres no way u couldnt enjoy it well enuf.... i think a lot of people just arent mentally wanting it enuf.... they are not people who truly despise civilian life perhaps...idk some people say bootcamp is a piece of cake and others are like , its a torcherous nightmare from hell lol....seems to depend mostly on ur own mentality and perspective and reason to be there , how much u wana be there
Thanks for the video. You provided really useful information. I am thinking going Navy now just to get a linguist or signals job. Speaking of linguist, why did you say CTIs are the most weird? Thought that was pretty funny. If I can't get CTI, CTR seems cool. Tell your colleague/friend thanks, too. Btw, you look like the actress Ashley Johnson. Just a brunette version.
It's almost impossible to fail Navy basic training, I went to basic in 2015 and I flew in with 2 rescue swimmer contract guys and 1 diver contact guy. I didn't get my PST scores up fast enough for a SO contract and had to go in as Corpsman. When we got to basic the diver contract guy failed the PST and had to be re-rated but idk about the rescue swimmer guys. Basic training in the Navy is fighting boredom and if you are athletic then you will lose your gains unless you pt behind your rack after taps and eat healthy. Be careful of working out behind your rack because some people are blue falcons and will tell on you to the RDCs trying to get cool points from them to get a phone call home as a reward 😂 if you can't make it through Navy basic training then something is wrong with you becaus RTC can be described in 2 words "Fighting Boredom" for 2 months. Only 1 person got kicked out of basic because she kept arguing with the RDCs and would yell back at them until they got tired and sent her to psych and they said she was bipolar.
If you decide to do something, then just DO IT. What is the problem? Y'all are weak Sallys and Steves; y'all are not motivated. I flunked out of college partying at 18 and faced the draft into the Army or Marines and getting straight to Nam. I could not desert my country, but would not fight in an unjust war, so I joined the U.S. Air Force with two buddies. Basic was a little mentally tough for about a week with someone screaming in your face all the time. After a week, I got Pneumonia from the stress and new germs floating around. I spent one weekend in the base hospital, but contimued training with my flight. I jogged with Pneunmonia, exercised, attended classes. After the second week, I learned that Basic was a game to show the correct attitude to the drill instructors. I finished with very high marks and enjoyed the four-year enlistment. I repaired all the advanced avionics for the FB-111. AND, never left the continental U.S...... mission accomplished. I DECIDED to attend university again, and to finish with Honors in three years. I also worked at least half-time to support myself above the G.I. bill level. Mission accomplished, a degree in accounting, in three years while working half time, with good grades. Setermine your goals and then ACCOMPLISH THEM. OBSTACLES ARE THERE TO BE OVERCOME. - The retired redneck accountant
Seabee RU-vidr here. Great information. The fastest way out of boot camp is to "embrace the suck" and graduate. It will become a staple of your Navy career.
An important part of getting a TS clearance is be honest, be absolutely honest with the person who is investigating your background. Part of thing they’re looking for is information that can be used and leveraged against you. And if you’re honest about some maybe not great thing on your past or bad debt, then that information is unlikely to be able to be used against you for blackmail to get information.
im not smart at all but i really really want to be a CTI. i can learn a language and understand everything about it. how can i get into that rate. Im an MA right now.
WTF? I'm in my 60's and can still perform at the top of the Navy's outstanding level for 20-24 year old males. Anyone in this age bracket who can't perform in the Excellent or better ranges is in such poor physical condition that I'd be worried about my physical safety if I had to rely on them to perform their duties. I don't want to die because someone isn't fit enough to do their job!
@@ShaeTaylorLife The USMC standards are pretty weak these days, too. The last time I was at MCAS New River and Camp Lejeune it was hard to believe Marines would ever be permitted to perform PT to such low expectations. Objective performance standards need to be established for every position, with one standard for all personnel. Of course, this would weed out 99% of all women so that is unacceptable in the modern political climate.
@@ShaeTaylorLife I don't need to think about it. Facts don't change based on gender or feelings. Objectively, women simply lack the upper body strength to perform most military duties. Their physical weakness should not jeopardize the lives of the men they are unfairly permitted to serve with.
@gaiustacitus4242 you can get off my page, as I completely disagree with you. Thousands of women make up the military and are more than capable. It sounds like you are stuck to an archaic mindset.
Boot camp was easy compared to being off the coast of Vietnam. Working 18-19 hrs a day and it was hard work bringing on ammunition and food. My ship was awarded a combat action ribbon and a Navy Unit Commendation Award.
I was serving in the Persian Gulf in 94 on board Uss Carl Vinson cvn-70. There was a MS( cook) who was trying to get out of the navy on a psych discharge, they assumed he was faking. He went down to what we called the " smoking sponson" and jumped into the persian gulf! We had to use a helo to pick him up and i dont know what happened to him after that but damb......he can tell people he swam in the persian gulf!
