Oh man. Thats an oldie. Usually you have to go to settings and find something that says car settings or vehicle settings. Every radio is different. But then you follow the prompts. Cant be more specific because every radio is different. But its usually hit the set button and then hit the corresponding button to learn the command. I hope that helps. Its usually in a "setting"..
This video ia amazing, say if I want to install ambient lighting in the doors and dashboard but don't know how to disassemble the console area to hide the wiring, and the wiring is kinda trickey I don't want to fry any fuse or damage any cables, can you please help, the ambient lighting is any generic type of Ambient lighting kit

Hmm.🤔🤔🤣🤣..I dont recall. But you wont fry anything if you catch the cigarette lighter for power. Unfortunately for you. I also didnt do that either..im so upset right now. Well do you want them on all the time or on a switch or just ignition with a controller?? Hello, I have the same car. I want to install ambient lighting in my vehicle. I removed the door, but I cannot install the LED because the space between the parts is too narrow and the LED cannot fit in between. How can I separate the parts? There is a round clip-style piece on the back. Do you know if these are removable or removable?
It does not specify the 2016, so I would say no. But, I am sure it is very similar to the 17-up. Most vehicles are very similar in installing roof racks.
Thank you for taking time to put this video together. I just recently purchased the same kit for my 2024 CX5 and just followed your video guide to successfully install it. I also used all of your little tricks which were very helpful. I think I would have run into alot of issues without your help.
Thank you for the installation breakdown. Very helpful. I am wondering if I can assemble the whole thing (rails + cross) before putting them on the roof it should be easier to tighten the tricky bricky cross vs rails bolts. btw loved the comments. Thank you again !
It sounds doable, but everything cant be tightened up all the way..and your definitely gonna need 2 people to line everything up..hmm..sounds better than actually doing..lol
Thats where ebay comes into place. I am part of their network, but dont promote them because they cant make what they want out of me clear. They make it seem like I have to make a commercial for them every video I make, promoting ebay motors. But you clearly see that thats not the case, I am just showing people how to remove things. Anyway, it sounds stupid because it is stupid. But if you go on ebay, you will be shopping from junkyards. If it is a mirror, should be plug and play. If it is the camera, then you need to get it recalibrated for your vehicle. I doubt you can just plug it in and it will work. I hope that helped.
Very few videos on this subject but no one is showing the back. I would love to swap out my 7" from my 24' Sport Hybrid but theres no step by step so far.
The back of the radio is the least of our concerns as content creators..as far as what you want to do. I would doubt that you can do it anyway. These new cars need to be reprogrammed as far as new radios. Especially if you want to go into a bigger category. I wouldnt think that it wouldnt be as easy as just replacing the radio.
It stands for Body Control Module. I hope your not trying to remove it if you dont know what it is..🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤣🤣..its like the brain of the car for certain things like brake lights, windows, etc.
@@richideates no i want to remove the telemetry from the care in its entireity. I do not trust them to NOT transmit my location over the cell network just because i have honda link turned off. i want every single cell module in that entire care DISABLED. Either shielded with a Faraday cage or removed or having its sim removed.
@@richideates Just guide me how to unlock the three locks it has to remove the airbag, because I have managed to unlock the two upper rear locks, but the third lower lock does not unlock by pushing with a torx wrench. please🙏🙏
I have no idea. I wish I could help. I dont know without seeing it and as far as the "locks" go, I am unfamiliar with them. If I had the car I would look, but I dont get cars like that. I get them when I get them.
Do you know how I could remove the trim/part where the switches for the window motor up and down? I have a 2016 and want to wrap all 4 doors on the panel the window switch sits on. Didn’t know if there was an easy removal without doing entire door
If you pause it at 1:15 like I just did. I think that silver screw holds it in place. Funny you ask me that now because I am doing that in my new videos on how to remove the switches. Back then I wasnt doing it. Taking the door panel is easy, dont be discouraged. Do the back door like I did and see if it is able to be realesed from the back end. If so, just slide something in between the door panel and switch and see if they all pop off without needing to remove the door panel. Its easy either way. Removing door panels in most of these newer cars is quite easier than you think. That way you dont run the risk of scratching anything. Especially when putting it back. I hope that helps. Well supposedly the car has to be updated from the dealer or when it was manufactured. The radio has nothing to do with it, it is the interface that is communicating with the car. Try to update the metra interface, that might help with communication, then try the procedure again. Let me know because I am curious as well. Thanks for reaching out.
Hi, I recently got the DMH-W2770NEX radio installed by a local audio shop with the full steering wheel and camera kit. Everything works just fine, however, the display on top of the radio is extremely dark and the brightness is at max already At night time, the display dims when I turn on the headlights, but is “normal” brightness (the display is as bright as the factory display) when my headlights are off. During the day, it’s really dark, basically to the point where it’s not even worth to use I was wondering if you experienced this or know anyone else experiencing this and if there is a fix to keep it “normal” brightness at all times during the day Thanks!
I didnt realize that you are the same person. Lol. Sounds to me that they grabbed the wrong dimmer wire. See if you have a knob or controller that makes it brighter, but thats only when the lights are on. They might have it thinking that the parking lights are on. Do you have an auto light setting, if so, is there anything blocking the sensor? Maybe windshield is tinted? Either way, the dimmer circuit might help, its a turn knob of some sort, maybe to the left of the steering column or the rod that comes out of the gauge cluster. Idk that year off the top of my head, but thats usually where they are.

Maybe mine was already aftermarket. Most people dont know about the blade replacement, so I wouldnt show that method anyway. But thanks for the feedback. I agree with you though, of you can replace the blade, go for it, less wasteful plastic in the recycle bin that ends up in a landfill anyway. 🤦🏿♂️😡🤣
I just installed the version that fits behind the mirror in my car. I've never done anything like this and amazed at how easy it was. Getting the wire through the rubber boot doesn't require any kind of guide. Just shove it in, compress the boot and hold the connector as you let the boot expand. Took about 30 seconds to feed it through doing this.
@@richideates not at all. Showing how to route the wire, pull back the door trim, etc was very valuable. I just used a different method to get the connector through the boot. Also, I mentioned your video in my review of the camera.
