This really depends on you tbh. The homework is pretty intense and overwhelming, though, the teachers seem to understand (most of our teachers are really cool) this so they give us no homework during long breaks like Christmas or Memorial Day. This school is really accepting towards queer representation and diversity, and actively promotes that it’s ok to be who you are. For educational purposes, it prepares you for college and showing colleges that your from the top school from Michigan is a flex in itself. The big assignments ( like essays, or projects) are very good as well as it teachers students about time management and writing skills. Overall, this is your choice, but please IF YOU DO decide to go to this school, take Algebra 1..it’ll be easier in the long run.
I go there now, and let me tell you that if you are not ready to be challenged thoroughly, then this school is not for you. They have tremendously high expectations and it is mentally demanding. If you’re the type of person to not handle stress well, then I would spare your happiness. However, if you want a very good education and have skills that you can actually use in the future, then I can’t wait to see you next year!
