Cheers :) It's just 4 drums sounds. Numbers 10 (BD-88 1), 75 (Tom-88), 55 (HH-88 Cl) & 56 (HH-88 Op); basically all 808 sounds! All the sounds are at the middle center pitch, and have max EG time and Amp EG set to Gate for everything apart from the bass drum which has the Amp EG on exponential mode and the EG time about 11:30am. You can get some nice cr78 type sounds by playing with that amp EG :) Hope that helps!
They are different effects, the flanger is basically a tremolo, and the leslie is a tremolo and vibrato. Tremolo is amplitude modulation (volume) Vibrato is a pitch modulation.
Hello. I follow you from Hungary. I have such a great organ, a very talented band used it while they had keyboards. I am listening to your ideas and advice to find as many cool sounds as possible.
That was kind of the point of this video, to demonstrate the Limp Bizkit sound using the effects I built. For more original content, there's a lot of other videos on my channel.
It's nothing specific, but I was going for something Limp Bizkit-esq. The closest track would be "My Way" from Chocolate Starfish. There's a nice chill section before the final chorus kicks in which sounds very similar :)
If you can get the inside motor/rotor assembly from an old home organ (they sometimes come up on eBay for a reasonable price), then it's mostly a case of making the outside cabinet and then mounting the assembly inside (with some modifications if need be). That's what I did. There's a longer video on my channel about servicing and setting things up too which can be tricky the first time you do it. All the best! They're great when you have them up and running!
Ah amazing, welcome to the club and hope you have fun with it, they're amazing! Thanks for the compliment on the speaker too. A guy in the next town over was selling the inside rotary bit from a home organ (the motor/rotor /baffle assembly), so it mostly a case of: 1) Getting the motor circuit working again: fixing the slow/fast relay, adding a second relay to turn the motor(s) off, wiring it to work with a guitar amp footswitch to change speeds, then housing the electronics in a case to hide all the high voltage stuff, then... 2) Building the wooden cabinet around it and upgrading the speaker to a nice 12" one (the one it came with was 8" and ok, but could do with more umph). I used 18mm Baltic birch plywood for the sides which is SOLID and voidless and just some 20mm square wood strips from a hardware show for any bracing (pine I think?), then the hardware (corners handles etc...) I bought from the internet. I think it was mostly Fender amp hardware or similar. The old home organ system is essentially just stripped down and remounted as the new baffle in a usual guitar cab design, but with extra wood on the front to protect the rotor (though I still need to add proper grills at some point). For the speaker, I didn't cut the original hold any bigger, I just mounted the new 12" onto the 8" hole and it sounds great to me. I used a Marshall Celestion 100W AVT guitar cab speaker, nothing too fancy or organ specific. Hope that helps! I've actually got a video about how to service the motor/rotor system which shows some of the insides and everything up close you might find useful too. Uploaded on my channel about 3 weeks ago? There's quite a bit of calibration when first setting it up / maintaining things to run properly and quietly, but once you've sorted it out it's a joy to play through. All the best!
I got mine off eBay and they come up every now and again. Reverb might have some too, and I've seen local listings (Friday ad, gumtree in the UK) for the electone home organs before too. The YC combos can get a bit pricey these days. I got mine in mostly working condition but needing repairs for £300 in 2020, but you can get the Electone home organs for much less or even basically free sometimes :) Hope you can find one! They're great fun :)
Heeey been waiting on this one! :D Sounds like y'all are in good form already! Nice location too, lighting and all... upcoming tour's off to a promising start!
Cheers man! Just came back from another practice this weekend and things seems to be going great so far! I'd like to get some better lighting in the place and we've been working on a better way to capture the sound too (progress on the latter). Hopefully one more practice then we'll be ready to tackle some stages!
@@JabunAudio Nice :) Recording quality seems a bit like what you'd expect from live footage, though looking forward to hearing that improved capture for sure - hopefully there'll be some stage stage footage too thereafter! :D
@@cbrd Yeah, the quality still isn't album quality just yet, but we're working on options to get it closer :) Yeah! Not for a while yet due to schedules, but aiming for before the end of the yeat for sure :)
Hope you do more of these monologues in the future, this was great. :) Audio overall's just a nice format, feels more personal than a written post, plus it's easy to listen in while you do other things. Nice tour of the equipment as well, and that's a mountain of videos this past year!!! Impressive.
Thanks CD on all accounts! I've been experimenting with some more spoken stuff since this video went out so hopefully those go down well too :) It's definitley tricky though! I'll be doing my best :)
@@TallismanRogue Me too! I know there's a Sansamp Bass DI and an 1176 type pedal (maybe a darkglass) + he's always wireless but that's it. Pog too? We'll have to ask him!
