No shots of modern St John's? No shots of the area around the university? Apt buildings? University buildings? The area around the Grace Hospital? The area around the Avalon Mall? Was the photographer trying to photograph of the older St John's that was quickly disappearing?
My friend Gary Collins happens to be my favorite author of books that portray our province's rich history and livelihood of the gains of the woods and sea, its riches and of its losses. His own rich history of working in the woods and sawmill operations corresponds with my own. I applaud him for his profound wisdom and his ability to focus and bring his life together in beautiful stories and anecdotes that us Newfoundlanders are known for.

Awesome! Oh She Glows is a fantastic series of cookbooks. I have all 3 in my personal collection and cook from them more than any other books that I have. Try the Life Affirming Nacho Dip in the volume 1 of the series (there are 3 total)!
