By the way, are you aware of ChatGPT 4o, the new AI engine? You can talk to it like a human, and it answers beautifully at the speed of light! You can ask it anything. It's a great learning tool. You can ask it to make exams for you, and it'll even grade your answers! I've made a breakthrough in my thesis, thanks to ChatGPT. Everything looks so easy now as it's answered all my annoying queries that deal with the nuances of my research topic and that would've never been answered by my supervisors. You were absolutely right when you said that I have the knowledge that I need to work on my thesis, but it's all about consolidating that information and writing it on paper. I didn't believe you at first, but ChatGPT proved me wrong! It simplified an advanced maths topic and made me realise that it's much easier than it looks! ChatGPT is a godsend! I've been considering using it to learn more about the tarot, astrology and philosophy, but I haven't done much yet. You can ask it something like... I'm going to give a lecture on the Twos and Threes of the tarot next week. Can you tell me everything I can talk about, including obscure/arcane stuff? You can also include prompts like: Teach me as you would teach a middle school student or Can you provide examples from real life to deepen my understanding? I'm excited to know what that prompt would produce. The key is to consider it human. Talk as you would talk to a human friend, and tell it exactly what you're looking for and how you want it.
There are also AIs that are specific to philosophy and psychology (and other fields and utilities). I recall talking to the psychology one, and it helped me better than a therapist/psychologist! The philosophical one was somewhat primitive when I tried it out last year. You can ask many of the old and new philosophers any question, and it produces an answer based on their philosophies. There's another one whom you can ask philosophical questions, but after a while, answers get repetitive. I haven't tried out ChatGPT yet for philosophy and psychology. This stuff is incredible. I would like to see you asking it about the tarot. I'm excited to know what happens.

I ensure now to copy/paste any long message that I'm typing into Notepad. If the RU-vid algorithm decides not to post my message because of prohibited key words or whatever, I can resend the message without having to type it all over again.

Just wanted to let you know that I attend a philosophy event here, and I've discovered that many people today are nihilists. They strongly believe that everything is 'random' (although they can't define what 'random' means or where the randomness comes from) and that life has no meaning or purpose. And that life is full of suffering, so we shouldn't have ever been born. They also believe that feelings and emotions are purely hormonal, and we live only according to instinct. If you talk to them about spirituality, they say things like: If we are manifestations of a higher power, why aren't our lives perfect? Why these tests? Why the suffering? Why do we have to grow? Why do we have to learn? Who controls reincarnation? Why are we forced to reincarnate? They believe that spirituality is just another religion that forces you to live life, grow and transcend the way a 'higher power' wants you to. And I don't have an answer to these questions. Nor do I have tangible proof. But I believe because it makes sense.
We also talk a lot about the concept of good and evil. Many believe that good and evil are purely subjective, even when it comes to heinous crimes. They believe that good and evil are the same thing, so there's no distinction between the two, even in this realm. Sorry for getting into philosophy, but it would be cool to know what the tarot has to say about these philosophical concepts. Also, I'd like to know if you find the tarot very Abrahamic, or do you think that it just represents the process of life? I feel that it's the latter, despite its Abrahamic symbology.

Thanks for the thought, Norma! Just to clarify... so, there's no such thing as luck, Fate or chance? If we really know what we want and take the steps towards it, will we always get it? Is adversity what we face when we don't do that? I'm a little confused.
I had to really think about how I was going to reply to your comment. I don't think I said there is no such thing as luck, Fate or chance? Because there is. But what goes into creating those things that we call luck, fate or chance is from my perspective how we 'think', 'feel' and 'respond to life. Of course we have things come at us from out of nowhere, but its how we handle it. My big saying, "not the event, its how we handle it'. If we go 'victim' on a situation, then more will follow. If we 'deal' with it and 'believe' in ourselves, goals etc, (even though sometimes we have to adjust them) I believe we will succeed. But then what is the eventual goal. We have goals within goals, but what is the ultimate goal? I think that is the question for us all to answer in some ways. Thanks for asking a question, which made me 'think'.

I was wondering if you're aware of the original meanings of the cards that are in the small booklet that comes with the cards. They are said to be Waite's interpretations, if I'm not mistaken. These meanings are very different from the meanings we know today. I can see how some of these meanings make sense but not all of them.
Gosh, its been along time since I've looked at the booklet inside new cards....can't remember when. I also had not heard that they were Waite's meanings. Thanks for the info.

Really enjoyed listening to your talk today!!! Very helpful. Norma…I really would appreciate your thoughts on something going on in my mind. A little background. I’m a retired RN at 70. I am single and live with my sweet pets, a small dog and 2 recent kitten rescues. Most nights I wake up remembering hurtful things people have said to me throughout my life, including my mother. Why is this happening? I am from the generation of seen and not heard and never told my mum that she was being hurtful and even mean. Am I just really processing this fully at this time in my life? It’s difficult to live in light and love when you’re mad at your mother who is now deceased. I actually feel much sadness upon getting started in the morning trying to shake off the dream. I eventually do though. I hope everything goes well for you on Wednesday. Drive carefully ❤😊
