Maybe you are much more interested in watching score reduction/analysis, transcriptions and piano arrangements of famous pieces, but to me you guys supporting my original compositions is equally important, if not more! Although I enjoy analysing and sharing music theory with people very much, the main job in my career is a composer instead of a music analyst. Hope you understand and much appreciated!

William - HOLY ACTUAL SHIT! This is some of the most clear and thorough reduction I have seen on RU-vid, and WOW the lyrics were such an unexpected surprise. They absolutely brought out the melody and orchestration, felt choked up through the entire piece. Nothing beat the chuckle at 3:44 though… you’ve earned a loyal subscriber!! 🙏🙏🙏

I legit listened to the original home alone setting the trap theme while shoveling snow during winter December 2021 after a big snow storm hit Utah. Where I am.
In the pickup measure to halfway into the first bar you have horn 4 start in staff 2, then move to staff 3 for one quarter note, then to staff 4 for the rest. Why so many of those movements when you already have 4 staves?
because here my arranging priority is: 1st staff show the most obvious melody regardless of level of pitches; 2nd staff relatively higher notes (pitch level occasionally overlap 1st and 3rd staff) and counterlines; 3rd staff middle area notes and counterlines; 4th staff bass movements
@@WilliamsoMusicTT your choice for first staff is what I figured, though your choice for the other staves makes it funny to follow the voices. It makes sense looking at it from a simplified analysis perspective, but part of the fun of reading an orchestral score is to see the voice and arrangement decisions the creator has made!
In my score videos I found I tend to intuitively focus more on the analysis perspective, even though it’s written “orchestral reduction”. I might have some weird choices sometimes, and I appreciate and agree with what you say here
Do you realize at what level this person is in the art of composition and orchestration? And this is happening in the dark and spiritless 21st century? How lucky we are to be contemporaries of this genius!
