Hey there can I ask what kind of lightbulb you used in the paper lantern and what kelvin/wattage they are? If they are LEDs did you use any specifically high CRI or flicker free bulbs ? Thanks so much I LOVE the lighting here
Hello! I bought an old fashioned 200w tungsten bulb. Not LED. The downsides were that it ran very hot, and in most cases just barely bright enough at 800iso. We shot at 3200 kelvin. I think the bulb was running 2700. At this point, Aputure LED bulbs are pretty good, but end up being low powered when going through diffusion. This lighting is super great, but you definitely have to work with it. It’s not an easy get up and go.
I use film emulation because I grew up with those movies shot exclusively on film. And I have a hard time getting used to the super clean and sharp look of the new cameras. Btw, you can create any style starting from different film stocks, and it doesn’t prevent you from making adjustments to match the project's style (commercial look, vintage, gritty, creative, etc...).You can easily remove the grain if needed or even the halation, etc. I can show you some projects I made with film emulation that doesn't look vintage at all 😉 It also depends of the film emulation, some produce weird results, I only use Dehancer and right now exclusively Filmbox (wich I find superior to all film emulation plugins). This plugin is used on many modern movies 🙂 (I only wish, we could have more filmstocks, like with Dehancer)
I got this mod along with others like recruits mod,i gave five of my recruits the Dark metal armor already with max enchantments,some great reaper axes,wood splitter,hammers and scythe and much more, it's not that hard mod,the hardest part is the template not the dark metal ingots
If you want to get geared and be a master of the mod read this, but of you want to just experience or figure it out by yourself don't!!!! The charm of fury can be used to wield the big sword(dark war blade) if you don't want to craft potions of strength all the time, btw the nightmare stalker is fought just like an iron golem(tower up 3-4 blocks and hit him with your sword, he is classified as undead I think so the sword you made will work well) and arrows don't work on him I believe, the best way to find dark metal is to get diamond armor and looting 3 and just wander at night to get big mobs to spawn(skeleton trasher, bonescaller, missionary, nightmare stalker, bucket zombie, fallen chaos knight and the big zombie) and kill them with looting to get dark metal(there is awlso a boss that's a pumpkin surounded in candles and he drops a cool staff and a good sword which is usually enchanted pretty good and awso the best mound in the game the felsteed(it's a very fast horse that can run up blocks without jumping and it can run on water and it's immortal)a good way to find dark metal is also finding dark towers and looting them and finding lava wells in hot biomes like a Savana which have chests and dark metal ore on the bottom if you remove the 4x4 lava
It'd be cool if you built a Necromancer tower as part of your base, you could be like the village's local wizard. A necromancer, sure, but a good one who defends the village

I like the lore implications of the name of the mob ("Missionary"). The fact he's an illager reminds me a bit of how illager raid parties occasionally show up where the player is. Imagine the missionary arrives on the outskirts of a village and preaches about the use of dark magic (or whatever it is illagers do)
Loving this series so far, it's a casual speed instead of just someone who goes and beats/does everything in a couple videos. Look forward to watching more of your videos on this mod and others
I played this mod, and I was genuinely TERRIFIED by the anglerfish. I see two white orbs in the water, it registers to me that they're eyes, and I speed away in my boat, only to realize that the anglerfish is almost faster than I am! Good job to the mod creator lol
i just dont like the digital look. I cant help my taste and if that makes me simple like everyone else who is obsessed with the film look then so be it. I dont like the digital look and i cant pretend to like it either.
Right I’m a 90s kid and grew up on film and there is a difference in the feel of it. I love film and that is what inspired me to create. Horror movies shot on video just doesn’t always cut it. And I believe Luts is too over done now and days.
I seem to watch from season one EVERY TIME a new video comes out 😅. Just to make it all last longer. Love this series. And your voice is very soothing to someone whose mind is always busy. ❤
