when Magufuli ordered all government offices to move to Dodoma many govt buildings which were not well located failed to attract new tenants once the govt people left the buildings, that building you observed to appear like abandoned is one of the victims of that case, it hosted the offices for Tanzania NSSF corporation which deals with pension funds for public and private employees. The building is a bit at the corner, entering the CBD , as such it was not as attractive. but as the new SGR train terminal that which is just opened sits just next to it, the building has a potential to attract clients now than ever before. you can imagine, a corporation renting the space in that building, and people from all over the country who want to be served in their office, once they arrive at Dar train terminal the offices building will be right next on their view once they get out of the station, so soon the building will become filled with offices again. Also, as the Dar rapid transit buses company saw a new transport demand with the coming sgr terminal, they went on to build a whole bus rapid transit terminal right in front of that building 😀 so , the building is all having good news, the once wrong located building has become the one building sitting right next to intercity train terminal and a bus rapid transit terminal, it sits on hub that is becoming very convenient to get to and from
Salima, your mind is really in the butts!! 😂😂😂 the land of Dar es Salaam is sandy, not dusty, Dar es Salaam has asphalt roads and does not have strong winds, it has clean air from the sea, hence where will you get that dust in Dar es Salaam?! If Dar es Salaam is not organized, how does the BRT work there or is it not Dar es Salaam?! Dar es Salaam is not dirty and it does not have any slums, there are many slums in "Kunya", dirty and very smelly, Nairobi has the largest slum in Africa called Kibera, is it dirty and very smelly or is that a garden?! Also, Dar es Salaam City Center is cool and not noisy, the Kariakoo area is a more commercial area, so you can't stop people from talking when they are doing business and this situation exists in any city, maybe the city where you live is a city of cemeteries and that's why there are no sound.
@@titodepinto4916 well then it either you're lying that you've been here or you came to the wrong Nairobi , because I've seen Dar , even Tanzania RU-vidrs like Bertin attested Nairobi esp CBD is much more organised and cleaner.
@@gaches_sa unless you live in runda or muthaiga. Generally Nairobi is not clean. That's why it's now called "the city in the....." A shell of it's former glory .
Next time use bolt, uber or farasi will be way cheaper than what you've been charged, and all the options are available not only taxis if you want bodaboda, bajaji as-well.
That is Dar for you. There are some Kenyans when they come to TZ they try to compare Dar with Mombasa. Please tell them any similarity or difference you see.
Nice video. Welcome to Tanzania. Kariakoo is very big with many streets, Msimbazi is one of them😂😂. Also as a tip, try to engage with people/vendors, they become more friendly once you talk to them rather simply secretly film them. They tend to become confrotational when they find out that you've been secretly filming.
I remember whe the late JPM laid the stone of constitution of Tanzanite Bridge, he sayd after complete the Bridge will increase the number of tourist and now i can see our brother and sister come to visit
Salender Bridge is the bridge adjacent to Tanzanite bridge. Where you are is the Tanzanite Bridge … sometimes people get mixed especially if they are new …so there are two bridges there the old one is salender and the new one is Tanzanite
@@itssu445 the old one. If you stand in the middle of Tanzanite bridge from Aghakhan side and you look left you will see car passing. They are passing through the salender brigde. Nothing fancy old kind of bridge
