Collezione Maramotti is a private contemporary art collection opened to visitors in 2007 and it's located in the first historical Max Mara headquarters, in Reggio Emilia (Italy).
The permanent collection can be visited with free admission and upon booking, and it comprises a relevant selection of more than two hundred works from 1945 till the present day, presenting the most significant artistic international trends from the second half of the 20th century.
Collezione Maramotti organizes temporary theme-based shows where artworks belonging to its collection and projects regularly commissioned to international artist are exhibited.
This channel presents contributions of artists invited to design projects for the Collection and in-depth material about the exhibitions.
Collezione MARAMOTTI, visitata da poco, è molto interessante purtroppo non è stato possibile vedere tutto. un consiglio che mi sento di incoraggiare chi non ha ancora visitato questa collezione. Comprende opere degli anni 60/70 fino ai ai nostri giorni, gli acquerelli di Manuele Ceruti ora in mostra da non perdere assolutamente
She is such a lovely human 🥰 I want to hug her immediately. And listen to her everyday. We need a book from Chantal Joffe about art and struggles as an artist and then make her read her own words in an audiobook. I would totally have it on repeat till the end of the world. So grateful she exists.
Caro Carlo, Ricordo ancora quando, assai giovani, giocavamo… ad un certo punto qualcuno ti mese in mano una macchina fotografica, forse avevi 14’anni e, da quel momento, hai trovato la tua dimensione da cui, in molti, oltre a me, gioiamo nell’immergerci nelle tue immagini che raccontano storie e sentimenti, apprendendo grandi lezioni di vita per chi “sa leggere”. Another great effort by Carlo Valsecchi, elegantly installed. A phrase in the film stuns me: "There is never a war in which mankind is not defeated". His imagery proves the point.
Interessante. Intorno al minuto 2.25 quando dice "....il suo senso resta segreto, criptato", mi viene da pensare 'Forse. SE un senso esiste'. Infatti, più avanti intorno al minuto 4.15 ascolto "questi segni si spogliano di ogni necessità comunicativa, non significano nulla, non rinviano ad altro da sè, non danno accesso a uno spazio che si spalanca oltre..." . :) - Non sono un'esperta ma ho imparato che a volte in arte non c'è UN unico senso da scovare. C'è l'invito dell'artista a trovarne uno.

Huma Bhabha is a great artist for us, and we think her work deserved the attention which it increasingly got, with her solo show at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston (2019), the Roof Garden Commission at the MET (2018), Venice Biennale (2015), MoMA PS1 (2012) and many others. Un grazie di cuore alla Famiglia Maramotti per avermi permesso di scoprire alcuni artisti a me finora sconosciuti, ho amato in particolare le opere delle due artiste femminili e i prati e i fiori di microchip, che intuizione! Spero di poter visitare la galleria e rivedere Reggio Emilia appena si potrà riprendere il nostro tempo per godere la bellezza dell'arte

He's supposed to be a painter, not a communicator. What kind of information you need to enjoy and "understand" a painting? I think he really has a genuine and sincere attitude towards painting. He's not trying to appear smart to convince people. He's not seducing people with rhetoric. He's just honestly talking about the process of his paintings.
