Distance doesn't affect the timing unless you're teleporting without a sword already imbedded, and you can't do it at all if you're at point blank range already. Outside of those two instances the distance doesn't matter.
Hey Phantom, do you stream or hang out in any Discords I might know of? I just realized I've been watching and rewatching for years, but haven't really seen you around in the combo maker circles methinks.
I'm still in the Cuhrayzee discord, but I only pop in there once in a blue moon to lurk. I very rarely interact there since the vast majority of the people I know from the /cgg/ days disassociated from the group or lost interest and moved on with their lives a long time ago. I considered streaming, but for the last few years I had really bad up stairs neighbors in my apartment complex that were extremely noisy throughout the day. It's not an issue anymore, but if I did stream I'd mostly just play fighting games anyway.
@@PhantoMResonancE I got into fighters recently anyway with Melty, I'd find that perfect! I just feel like I should have invited you to some of these circles years ago because you're so good at some of these games. Your Senran videos are still my favorite. Just let me know if you do begin streaming please, I'd love to be able to watch you play more often!
Hi I'm very late but How do you do multiple Stinger attacks in the air ? I tried so many times but I can't do that on the Remastered version. Is there some kind of condition you need to meet to perform multiple Stinger attacks or the Remastered is missing this feature for some reason ?? Thanks
I don't have the remastered game, but I assume it's the same as the original. You have to draw the weapon and buffer the stinger input behind a fresh summon to use it in the air more than once. Draw symbol > Back-Forward > Attack button. You have to do that every time. If you ever do it the normal way the air stinger limit will kick in and it won't reset until you touch the ground.
The Aoko combos are especially neato. It's cool that you play the game as well, have you been enjoying the update? I'm glad to be enjoying the game again. I quit many months ago because of some issues I had with it, but I'm hoping to stick with it much longer this time.
I actually stopped playing the game too, way back in December. All of these combos are months old since I stopped playing seriously and would only boot the game up to lab occasionally. Overall the patch seems like a big step in the right direction. There are a few small changes I don't think are particularly good, but the game is still in a much better state than it was before.
Maybe. I'll probably buy the re release since it's only 40$, but I don't like playing with the analog stick because it feels too slow. Any combo video I might make in the future would most likely still be on the Wii U version because of that.
Rumor is P* is looking to bring this to other platforms but needs a kickstarter to show there is interest? I'd buy this again on PS4, but it just reaffirms my decision back then to get a Wii U over a PS4 in the beginning of this generation.
Nintendo owns the IP, so the only thing it'll probably get ported to if anything is the switch. Portability and more stable framerates might be nice, but the game being a big pain to 100% and the likelihood of touch screen control not returning leaves me generally disinterested in the idea. It might be interesting if it got some extra content like DMC3SE is getting.
@@PhantoMResonancE according to an ex-employee, it's co-owned and with P* coming into Chinese monies, it's speculated they bought they other half from Nintnendo. We'll find out one way or the other.
@@Megazone23 Looks like they've reached all of its initial stretch goals, so hopefully it actually manages to do well once released on all of these new platforms. The DLC stretch goals still don't look particularly interesting, but it seems like there might be other things they thought they could hold back announcing since they didn't foresee such massive support coming. Personally still don't see a reason to re-buy a game I already own, but I'll be keeping an eye on it at least.
@@PhantoMResonancE I might double dip for Steam version. It'll be worth it for the lack of load times and to see how detailed it could look at higher res. You should post your vid on their kickstarter video.
My laptop is a toaster so I can't record while playing DMC3 or 4 at the same time. I like both bayo games but there's a variety of reasons why I didn't upload stuff for them (mostly laziness). That might change when 3 comes out. I liked the DMC5 demo a lot more than I thought I would so I have a lot of upload plans for the full game.
There was a reboot in 2013, but it was an unpopular game that nobody really wanted or asked for. Long story short, the fans spoke with their wallets and the game didn't perform well. Now we're here with a proper sequel to DMC4 releasing next month.
It's so nice to see you back, and with a very unique video in the form of DmC tech. I shared this in most DMC places I could; I'm hoping that the right players will find and make great use of it. BlueDevil commenting is a good sign that maybe it'll happen. Thanks so much for uploading this, and I hope you're doing well.
I've seen other players passing it around on twatter now, so they're aware of it at least. I don't know if I would say I'm back just yet. I'm still too disinterested to finish my combo video, and it's not often I find a reason to make a video like this. I could probably do another one for some doppelganger stuff but that's about it. If DMCV is a good game I might commit to more regular uploads, but as of now I'm still prioritizing other things.
can i only done it with lock on? unfortunately i dont have acces to DE right now but seems i can do it without lock on in pc. Good technique and could change a lot of ideas from their roof
You don't have to be locked on to do it. You don't have to have a sword embedded before hand either, but it's a lot harder to time without it since you have to visually confirm when the fresh sword hits and the start up of the teleport begins.
It has a lot of potential for combo stuff if someone ever actually masters it, but as far as practical play goes it's not much more than a few neat tricks.
@@PhantoMResonancE Still good to know. I don't know if you've heard about some of the Reddit streams for DMC for charity in memory of Chris Taylor but they would probably appreciate your DmC stuff since they have had some trouble finding players or any recommendations of players. Besides that I remember you had a general guide you were getting started on for games like this some time back, are you interested in tackling that again?
Double enemy combos huh? They looked great :D. But i'm very interested in this next Dante Vid you got coming up if you're gonna pull stuff like this lol
PhantoM Same goes here man, but what can you do haha The concept is interesting, and as some people already said, I can't wait for more in-depth combos with this :D
Next one will be a lot better. There's a bunch of ideas I didn't use and room to develop what's already there, but I procrastinated on this way too long and didn't want to sit on it much longer.
Amazing skills man. Platinum is so skilled at making deep accessible combat systems. It breaks my heart that their games never really sell well as they are one of the best developers around. This game for one is massively underrated
