This Channel is all about buying salvage cars from auctions and restoring them to their former glory. I'm a complete novice with no real experience of repairing cars. We all have to start somewhere. After watching other RU-vidrs buying cars from Copart and making it look easy I thought I could do the same, flipping cars and making loads of money, (boy I was wrong). I've learned very fast that is not as easy as it looks, follow me through every mistake I make as nothing is off limits and everything is documented. Learn with me, and eventually, I might actually make some money. good video shows you the basics of doing an oil change, the oil filter is a 10min job with the right tool, also remember undo the filter but never ever remove it straight away, let it hang a little about 3mins, the oil will then flow out of the sump, and not down your arm etc, change the O-ring every time, and do oil changes about 6,000 mile intervals, so at least twice a year.
Well done a horrible job to do but great work 👏 👍 ps. The wife has just got one a 12 plate and guess what a knacked box or thust bearing thankfully still under warranty 😊
Excellent job, the video have helped so much to do my own timing belt replacement, I've worked hard but I got it. Thank you. So, by the way, my freelander have that plastic cover missing, that one to access the pulleys... Please, do you know that one part number?
Looks like the Valeo clutch plate you took out was dated 2019? Fair play to you doing that on axle stands - it’s a hard game! I find Blue Print parts fine - good quality and good value.
It's a mission and a half doing that on the floor.. I've heard that it's smart to loosen the fill plug on the gearbox before draining the fluid as if for some reason it gets stuck, you won't be looking at a paperweight .
On a MK4 Golf TDi - Before you pull the gearbox out: First you need to turn the gearbox so that it is clear of the subframe. Then you can easily pull it out and down. And yes you do need to completely remove the drive shaft flange from the gearbox otherwise it will get caught up - don't ask me how I know. lol
Did similar with my son’s 2008 Seat Ibiza a couple of years back a readily do-able, but a bit of a game doing it on the ground. Nowadays I have a set of hydraulic Quikjacks which make these sort of jobs far easier.
Did you tell the people to always remove the fill bolt on the gear box before you remove the drain plug because if it doesn’t come out you can’t replace the oil ps channel is excellent 👍
Thanks Rob and Tom mainly Rob 👌 have you thought of buying Quickjacks and an airtank to use it and you could do leakdown tests on your channel as well? 🚐🚗👨🔧 🏁

Just watching here and recognised this car…. Been searching on market place and working out what I can get for my budget and seen yours then watched some RU-vid and here I am haha
Lol now you Can actually see how much work has gone into this car, I try and document everything so the new owner can see everything before the work has been completed 👍 was you looking for a polo?
@@RevivingSalvagedefinitely and it’s a great idea!!!, I will be after Christmas unfortunately after I save up as trying to avoid getting back into finance, but if I was looking to buy one it would definitely be this I as have witnessed the work carried out and how bad the crash was before repaird
@jxckbrxwn2003 that’s the best way to buy a car, finance is the worst. Shows it works if it hasn’t put you off buying a car by seeing it from start to finish. Thanks for watching 👀
