We do not agree with you 100%, we strive to modernize sea shanties, so that people who have never listened to them or had no contact with them can get used to the version mixed with electronics ;) And consequently. They may get the urge to listen to classic shanties ;)
I love the concept of this song! Some lines feel kinda rushed though, forced into a faster speed to fit into the line instead of letting the song's rhythm set the pace... Was it a stylistic choice? Seems a lot harder to sing that way
@@AnchorSoundVibe It's definitely an awesome thing to listen to! Out of all the shanty "styles," I think I like this softer type and the powerful cadence-like beat the best. I think you guys did the second type really well with Dark Ocean's Call and The Call of the Sea 😄
This sounds less like a shanty and more like pop rock, but it's still pretty good! It definitely sounds like more of a "safe" song compared to the other ones you guys make, though. Is it a new direction for the channel?
In terms of the type of songs. Currently, we do it for fun, there are many versions based on KARAOKE, we sit with a beer after work, one person sits and hums something, the other person comes up with something, plays a rhythm on the guitar for themselves and the rest happens by itself. Then, if it makes sense, we send it to the studio and our friends do the work there! For example, the song Capitan's Tale was created by a person who came up with the idea of throwing the first shanty, processing it, creating a backing track and motivating people that it would be fun, COME LET'S TRY IT RU-vid! And we are here :D
And when it comes to the path towards space shanties, we think it's something new on RU-vid, so if it makes us more famous or helps us in our future lives, it's worth trying!
This is really cool! Maybe it's because of the cosmic theme recently, but this song makes me think of a "young" android hearing about a legendary captain and wanting to follow in his footsteps. I'd love if we could get the instrumental version for this as well! :D
