The bulk of the content on the channel here is Fallout 4-build-related--tips, tricks, tutorials, methods, techniques, tours, vanilla builds, modded builds, vanilla gameplay, modded gameplay, and anything else that strikes my fancy. There's lots and lots of good info (and links to related channels) all through the archives. As of June 2021 I've moved away from FO4, however.
I stream on Sundays starting at noon US Central time (UTC -5) as well as on Tuesday evenings starting around 7:00 p.m. US Central (UTC -5). The streams normally run about three hours, and will be centered on whatever game's got my attention at the time--in addition to "regular gameplay" I'll try to share things I've learned along the way... I approach games slightly differently than most, and tend to have a more thorough, analytical approach to gameplay strategies.
The only thing I have a problem with is keeping the respawnable loot containers. In Survival mode loot (and enemies for areas) takes so long to respawn that you really aren't gonna see a return on the space investment for it. I have had my character for almost a full in game year and none of the locations have respawned their loot nor the enemies. Also side note, does anyone know a good way to farm Aluminum? I ran out and need more.
30:59 For a very brief moment you can see the dirt act like a campfire. The game gave me so many hints about that over the years but I always brushed them off as some weird random thing. It wasn't until after I learned of the campfire that I realized we could have just used dirt all along. Always makes me feel stupid when I see those old hints.
I'm back re-watching some if the oldies again. If there is ever a course on scrappy building this vid should be required viewing. The whole "steal a Bethesda structure and make it your own" concept is straight money for scrappy builds.
I'm back checking this one out again. Really nice build. At 3:26 I remembered you talking once during a Red Rocket build about how much trouble you have peeling boiled eggs. Imagine trying to peel that sucker. 4:30 For me, probably 20+ hours because I spend too much time walking in circles and looking instead of building.
Build first and second level walkway elevated along the walls with single entry/choke point stairs laden with traps and an open courtyard surrounded from above by turrets and a third and 4th level for everything else (trade, entertainment, quarters, etc) including crops at top level.
I showed up just as you were saying "Take care Y'all (hawke says that's always supposed to be capitalized). I did manage to leave a "hi, bye" comment so that's helping your algorithm at least.
21:28 Yes, but sadly I can#t recall the mod, it also enabled some spots in F4 that had a workbench but with disabled or brocken settlement function so it even added up some settlements at spots where non where suposed to be "Workbench -something something" So sorry I can not look it up to the overload of mods I have on track
I’m kinda new to this game, been playing for a few months now, but I learn something new every day. I didn’t know about the “level” of the turrets 😮 Thank you for these tips and tricks 👍🏻
Man, I wish I knew about your channel when you were posting these. I half learned a lot of the build order techniques and these settlement quirks by myself. but I would have enjoyed the game way more if I could have learned along with y’all on youtube 👍 My first ever survival play through is the most fun I’ve had on a game since ps3 and earlier days
Far as the ArcJet run, I make sure my frag grenades are selected then immediately chuck one through the door soon I'm able and duck behind the desk. And the now classic ArcJet fusion cell farm! I think my record for that is 1200-1300 cells, actually happened when I left it running while I made a couple sandwiches one day
I know this series is old, but I'm gonna note this for posterity sake. There is a guaranteed pipe sniper rifle in Concord. Face the Museum, turn left and its the last house on the right. Sniper is on the 2nd floor next to a dead raider, already has a long barrel and medium scope on it. Then Trudy always initially sells a suppressed pipe bolt action weapon, you can swap the suppressor to the sniper and have a long range suppressed weapon before you leave the "starting area"
After 7-8 years playing it once again.. one of my favorite series from very old times.. I had literally 1,5 minute to rush to this spot, clear all the ferals and click on the Workshop for the quest to not fail, but I couldn't find the workshop for the life of me. Thanks to your video, I managed to finish it on time :)
Terribly sorry for your loss. Old friends are so valuable. My best friend's brother called me to tell me of his passing. (12 years ago now) We had just gone out to eat the weekend prior and were planning the next big hike. It just smashed me like a pallet of bricks. My friend wanted to go catch a movie about two days before he passed, "spend big" "popcorn and everything", but I didn't feel like it... I would give anything to take that back.
Here’s a tip, if not mentioned before, grab the large rug from the yellow house and place the armor, weapons, and power armor station on the rug and just pick up the rug. It’s another form of group select.
It pools the contents of the workbenches for every connected settlement. Allows you to dump all your scrap in a single workbench and access it from any attached settlement.
FO76 was a steaming pile of 🐒💩 I pre-ordered it and returned it after about 20 hours of playing. Awful game. Hated the fact that it was online only. Now if Bethesda could make could combine the gameplay and settlement stuff with the writing of FONV, that would be cool. Ill be keeping everything crossed for that considering starfield apparently doesn't work properly either 😂😢 Quality builds👌🏻
The Fire Breathers uniform is a guaranteed drop from the main questline, and the regular Fireman helmet and coat come from one of the seasonal drops. The Responders Fireman Helmet and Responders Fireman Uniform are very rare (one in ten thousand, roughly) drops--the helmet is white instead of red, and the uniform has Responders badging and a built-in backpack.
