the guitar is all original exept a later 60's pickguard (probably a '63) , an overspray on the neck and a soldering on the latest tone knob to have the tone on bridge pickup
Fender introduced Candy apple red color not before 1963, besides, the pick guard screw between neck and middle pickups was moved closer to the middle pickup (like the guitar of the video) around June 1963. So this is a 1963 or later stratocaster, not a 1961
I am considering getting a reverse headstock for three reason. 1. More downward tension on the high E instead of string tree since I bend it so much (rather have string tree on the low strings that I don't bend). 2. Because you bend less distance to get desired note on the high E. 3. You bend more distance to get to same bent pitch on the low E, meaning my thumbover chords won't go out of tune as easily. Can you confirm this will be the result? thanks!
hi Gary , for sure its a different sound with a different feel . the reverse headstock will give you all these and the reverse bridge will give you smoother highs and tighter lows ...
Hi there. I have a mexican strat. I would like to have a reverse headstock, my problem is I do not know how to go about buying the neck for it . meaning I want to make sure it fits. Any suggestions?
