I'm just a "Pretend Pilot". LOL! I wish I could afford lessons, then take the yoke and rudder for awhile! I've got a collection of simulated aircraft. And I've flown to many countries and places, for a few years now. I served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Munitions Accountant; and I knew many pilots. There are real pilots who love to fly these same "Flight Simulators", when thy are not flying their real aircraft! I take my hat off to them, especially the U.S. Military, and other Ally Nation's pilots! And while we're appreciating pilots, let's give a shout out for all the Commercial Pilots who fly each and everyday for a living... Flying us to and from Hometown Airports across the globe, and destinations closer to Home; where family and loved ones/friends live also! I've done my share of flying as a passenger. Flight Simulator X (FSX) - Acceleration gives me just enough realism that I need to keep me flying all day, and into the night, most days of the week!
I have the same airplane from Carenado and I was wondering how did you get the GNS 430 to show the map because mine doesn't show a map or give me options any ideas?
Check description. (FYI: My PC consists of an Intel Core i9-9900K CPU @ 4.30GHz, 32.0GB RAM, 64-bit OS, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Display Adapter with 11GB VRAM, to include TrackIR 5.)
@@MSgt_Mac that explains your smoothness! Incredible!!! Thanks for the reply. Are you running FSX SE in Windows 10? MSFS has made me practically never want to go back to FSX SE. if it wasn’t for some of the add-ons (Lorby-SI WAMA especially) I would have no reason to ever fire it up again.
Prepar3D v4.1 Flight Simulator. "You can read all about the flight in the description, below the video." "I always add a description of all my videos." Thanks!
Hi Mac. I am running W10, FSX:SE, F1 GTN750 and the Duke Turbo v2 but have been totally unable to start the GTN, basically "black screen". For comparison, would you mind sharing your specs, specially the software items. Any tips on installation will be very welcome. Thank you. BTW, I love the video!
Thanks. I'm running the same thing as you, but with P3D. As far as the hardware, I've changed it many times. You'll have to watch something more current for it. (I add it to the bottom of every video, on my description.)
Wow, it is so awesome to see Orbx give my home state the true earth treatment. You flew right over my house in Mary Esther, and I noticed you took screenshots of Navarre bridge and Hurlburt Field. Is there any performance hit using true earth?
MSgt Mac yes i see your vidéo un p3d its good works on your vidéo montage... i have xplane and p3d 4.5 and same problème on xplane low fps but i turn hall setting low or médium on xplane
@@fracharron I'm looking for somewhere in Northern California. Your English is great! I tried to learn Deutch (German) when I was stationed at Spangdahlem AB in the 80s.
They're NEW graphics by Orbx, but I've got all of the Orbx collection (P3D & XP11). The X-Plane 11 Orbx is better! ... I agree about the landing! It was a joke!
I can't. But today I watched a RU-vid video about FSX 2020, and it was in 1080p HD - 60FPS (just as mine are using XP11). XP11 looked almost identical, but with finer detail inside and outside the aircraft. So in comparison with what I'm operating with, and all that I've invested with, I want to keep X-Plane alive. (FYI: The narrator stated we would be purchasing the same airports & airplanes from the same vendors! NOTE: "I already own Courcheval Airport & many other aircraft & airports he revealed.")
@@MSgt_Mac I am in tech alpha and xp11 doesn't even look close to it even with xp11 addons the visual gap is huge especially with the lighting and weather engine
That is the short acronym for the "Garmin Touch Navigator 750" model. It is the GPS and Moving Map, with many other features all contained in one instrument. The GTN750 is linked with your "AutoPilot" if you have one installed. You program it to follow a flightplan. See more on the website that sells them: Flight1.com. MSgt Mac
Northern California & the Pacific North West (PNW) are my favorites! (I own everything Orbx makes...) You'll like California even better with some airports. But I'd wait for a Sale... the're always having them.
MSgt Mac No need to apologize, as long as you are enjoying yourself that’s what really matters. The beauty of flight sims is that we can’t hurt ourselves, or others, while we improve our skills. There are tons of helpful materials available to help you improve your technique if you really wish to fly in a more realistic manner. Not everyone cares to fly “by the book”, some are just doing it to have fun. Whatever your interest level is always remember to have a good time. Happy flying!
@@johannmckraken9399 I do have a fantastic time flying once, or twice a day! Thanks Jay!!! I try to fly better, but sometimes I forget things... simple things. I'm an old-timer that just loves flight simulation. I'm still learning. I try to fly a different airplane, or airport every day. I seem to forget things, more than I remember them at times. Thank you for your sincerity, and warm wishes. ;)
Hi, great video. When I turn on the master battery switch it starts to drain my battery power. How did you do to turn on the battey and and keep the 24V?
Thanks again! I grew up in Clearfield, Utah (Near Evanston, Wyoming)... "Right at the West Gate of Hill AFB; where both my Dad and I were stationed!" (Not too much farther to Cheyenne. The Capital of Wyoming!) "I've been to Flaming Gorge also."
Alright! Yes it is a hand-full! Did you get "ChasePlane" too? I love ChasePlane. You'll probably need Bandi-cut too (for editing). (You can re-fly a landing, then if it's better... splice it in BandiCam. I'll look for your videos!
Nice Website! But I fly only P3D airplanes, jets & scenery. Sorry. I own 46 P-51 warbirds (original & repaints by A2ASimulations.com). "I used to love my FSX stuff though... My HDD just couldn't hold both.
Hi Paul do you own the Carenado b350i king air hd series? It uses the ProLine 21stuff so, it may not be what you are used to working with. I think the plane would be fine for VFR style flying. Anyway I'd like to hear your thoughts about the Carenado b350i king air.
If you're talking about this Vertx DA-62, follow these steps: 1. Load P3D as usual. IMPORTANT: Wait for your airplane to load both PFD & MFD. 2. Click ALT, NAVIGATION, Re-load FLIGHT PLAN. 3. Your DA-62's Flight Plan will be loaded into the G1000 MFD! "Wah-Lah!" REM: Click NAV, AP, ALT, etc.
I started out with FSX10 & Max'd it out with Add-ons until I couldn't tweak it any further, but some of those old FSX10 videos I've posted look "crisper" in detail than my latest P3D's do?! I think RU-vid's new Studio Creator won't allow me to adjust my new videos to 60FPS!!! They're pissing me off!!! "Sorry for the negative release on RU-vid." Peace!
I have to agree and is why I have not switched to P3D yet. I just don't need the expense right now.Really enjoying the older videos as I work through them.
Orbxdirect.com & Carenado.com/Alabeo.com have converted all their FSX to P3D for FREE! (But then, I converted everything I owned a few years back. When P3D was just starting out.) You should check in to it. That is if you own anything Orbx, Carenado, or Alabeo?
