This wasn't a total one, but an annular. Total is when the corona of the sun shows still absolutely amazing. They were saying corona but I'm pretty sure the corona is a white.
Clearly we need human sacrifices to appease the Sun, once he has had enough blood he will shine upon us once again!! Trust me, I have a masters degree in paganism and superstition......
