Churrr brother just a little tip. try forming your hook instead of using your hand to form. Practice and practice You'd be amazed how much quicker you'd be brother I don't mean to offend you just putting a tip out to you from 1 kiwi steely in Oz Adelaide to ma brother churrr churrr
He’d be faster if he figure out to keep the wire hand on the wire and the plier hand only on the pliers and spin the nips like the English. The Americans are fast with the lineman pliers because of this and making the tie tight on the first twist while making the bite in the wire when the wire is cut. I’ve tied rebar in the US as a rod buster and in Germany with German and British steel fixers, I know all 3 techniques and how to fast with all 3.
Be surprised how tight a tie is I was doing like 3 twists and cranking it every twist then a kiwi dude came did 1 twist and a crank all in the same movement and now I’m like fucking gobsmcked
They can't handle speed start to Jam up.. man power catches back up and the amount of time it takes to change the wire out those fukkaz man power catches them again.race em up all the time ...knipex for life
Faster in the right situation. Definitely not a better result...not even close when it comes to tensioning. Layered angled bars plus mesh and it's game over for the tie gun.
What's so complicated there just slash ties the most basic. It's just half inch bars maybe a few 16 mill no need for fancy ties, depends on how good your slash ties are.
Tie out a 2 layered precast panel. Not before stripping the last one down, lifting it out with a bridge crane, standing the previous one up and storing it, steel tied, forms bolted back together, batch your own mud, place it, vibrate, screed, wash the machines out and get a 5 star finish on it and see how good you are. Smart arse.
