My name is Nick Mango. My wife Sam and I use to live in Manhattan, but in early 2016 we decided that the city wasn't for us anymore and we moved full time to our home in the Catskills. I do videos working on my home, vehicles, and shop. Hope you enjoy them. Thanks
I have a hydro pellet stove with storage of hot water for the elements, I fire 6-7 hours every day to keep 2000 sqft warm. (I live near the arctic circle).
Rental equipment can definitely help but you need long stretches of time for them. If you’re doing a day here and a day there on a big project, it doesn’t work. Buying scaffolding is a better option. That’s something I could have done. I chose to save the money and use ladders.
No one used it for like 15 of those years haha. Houses can be leaning and about to fall down for decades. Existing and usability are definitely 2 different things.
I think I’m going to do a video on this but yeah I was definitely good on them. But you really can’t do anything when you’re on crutches. You can’t even make a sandwich or bring a glass of water to the couch haha. I recommend that peg leg for 80% of the time.
Sir, you need to rethink the mileage, instead of 300, 000, try 600000 ! Since you replace and keep up your cars in good condition, you may get to 6 big ones !
CRC 6026, Marine heavy duty corrosion inhibitor, and sp-400 are all the same product. 6026 and Marine HD are more viscous/tacky when "dry" compared to sp-400 though. PB Blaster Surface Shield is just as good (my personal fav). Can sucks, but is thicker than 6026 and Marine HD. Does attract a little more stuff though. "Dries" harder. LP3 and WD40 Specialist corrosion inhibitor are also good alternatives. All named have equal water and salt protection.
I replaced the original drain plug with an Votex check valve. I was thinking it would get me to change my oil at higher intervals. Hope you have a complete recovery. There is the ex neurosurgeon, Goobie, he said he noticed those who recovered from surgery the best had high vegetable diets.
I love every aspect of handling wood. If you don't, then don't get a wood stove. There are a lot of aspects to operating a wood stove safely and efficiently and it's not for everybody. Do whatever you are comfortable with.
Nick this is all B.S. For those of us really using wood stoves for 100% heat, there is NO, repeat NO, smell of smoke. NONE. The flue, the way the stove is burnt, seasoned firewood, and...experience. That tiny pellet stove you have couldn't heat a mouse. Pellets: noise, power , break downs, little real heat, cost, availability, 40 lb bags to lift, etc....Yes, I am opinionated. Forgot, getting firewood keeps you in shape.
All of our 3/4 ton ranch trucks run 10ply tires at 65psi front and rear unless under trailer, then the rears go to 80 psi the one tons run 12ply tires just to be safe
In a perfect world a wood stove with my own source of firewood say 50 acres up in the hills the reality 4.5 acres and I can't cut down most of my trees due to them being protected so pellet stove it is.
Chevy is a strange mistress. I have owned a 1500 for close to 10 years now. I could not agree with you more. Funny thing is I also have a GX 470 only for the deep snow months and getting off road here in Oregon. I could write a book comparing the two and hope that I can keep them both for another 10 years.
Hello Nick, Own a 2016 Ram 3500 Laramie DRW. Since watching your video about a year ago every time I’ve gone to open my tailgate I remember this upgrade. Can you direct me to a good video that has installation details for the 4th gen? ✌🏽
I’m not sure if there’s a video out there on the 4th gen, but I would try and go under the truck and look for the dampener attachment point first. If you don’t see anything try pulling the taillights and look in there with a flashlight. It’s possible they didn’t put the attachment point on the 4th gen. Let me know what you find. Thanks
@@NickMango Appreciate it. One more question I’m curious how how the shock itself has held up over these last couple of years as far as its dampening operations?
It is about the quality of the light produced.. You are correct that there is almost no difference in a $60 Tractor supply Traveller and an O’Reilly $50 light bar.. but I have to say.. I have a couple Rigid light bars (lifetime warranty) that have moved from one vehicle to another for 6 years and they are as bright as ever.. and put out at least double the usable output (compared to the cheaper ones for a given size. I do have one of their competition series double row 54” bars on my Sierra 2500HD Diesel, because I tow a large enclosed car trailer and want as much room to stop as possible.. (I travel through Buffalo, Elk and Moose country) It should have cost $2000+.. but we installed it on a customer’s truck, he got hit and totaled it a month later.. and I pulled the light bar and a few other things before the Copart truck came.
Each bend you have in the exhaust is a place where ash falls out of suspension in the airstream from the fan.. that double bend is a killer and you need to consider raising the stove to a height that would eliminate one bend. With everything cold you can use a powerful wet dry vac which you want to do at the end of every season. The fact that unburned pellets are getting to the blower is a problem as well.. they should never get there. But! Great videos on this stove and your experiences with it!
The 3M Ultra Restoration kit is only $16-17 right now. Looking at what you got for $13 vs. that kit, I'd say it's a comparable value. It may include fewer sanding discs (just eyeballing it here) and it does not provide the orange buffing pad. However, it provides things yours doesn't: Protective tape, clear-coat wipes, and one rubber glove (LOL). It seems like the simple, clear instructions were very important to you, and I can't speak on that side of things. Anyway - looks great! I'm going to get brave and try this.
I have a 99 yukon 4x4. I've done door hinges, cap and rotor, plugs and wires, fuel pump, full brake job, tires and valve cores, upper and lower control arms and ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, shocks, and sway bar bushings and links. All by myself. I service her regularly. She can get 400 miles or more a tank if i keep my foot light. I want a new one so bad, but this bitch is mine, and costs nothing to run! Nice ride, by the way!
You forgot no elexteic unlock and lock button in the back door. You have to manually pull up the lever or push down. Only the front has the option to unlock or lock the back doors. I hate the mirrors and want to fix them. I might wrap the chrome as well. I have the 21 tradesman
I have an assload of swivel c clamps about 30 of them when they liquidated them before the sell out 18 dollars a pop lol. I want some more pairs of the basic locking ones before they are gone should've grabbed more than one of the basic vise grips if I'd known they'd go back up
I wish more manufacturers (especially American manufacturers) added some e- lockers to their basic 4x4’s even though it’s not a “rock crawler”. It’s such a great traction aid that is totally slept on.
