I've bought breeding eggs yesterday, in all colors black, white, splash, blue. I was truly impressed with the rooster I saw. Never seen such large majestic chickens and I've had quite a lot of different breeds so far.

Did you use a different size between the base rectangle and the roof structure, or is it 1" pipe throughout the entire build? Thank you in advance for the answer!
I know jersey giants are larger than most breeds. Do you need any larger nests to prevent them from breaking eggs due to their larger size. Do they tend to go broody? i am a subcriber to your channel. it is great.
We have been very satisfied with Mt Healthy Hatchery and the Cornish X meat stock we purchased. We did purchase 3 of our jerseys through them and they are healthy and productive layers. However, they are not as large as our Jerseys we hatched ourselves or as large and docile as the 3 we purchased from a breeder in NC. (Where Mr. DAPHNIE was hatched) As far as the difference between hatchery and breeder.... in my experience, other than the size of the operation and variety of breeds offered, there isn't much difference.. all depends on the ethics, goals and knowledge of the operater/farmer/breeder
We just 6 got black JGs. They are almost 4wks old! I can't wait to see how big and amazing they become. We love our little peepers. (We have other breeds. These are just our only babies rn)

When you started adding chicken wire , I was so disappointed, but you made me happy by using hardwares cloth on the bottom of of your well constructed chicken tractor. --- My dachshund ripped my 1st chicken tractor fencing in no time at all killing all my chicks. 😢 Then I put 1x2 fencing & the darn raccoons ripped thr heck out of my chicks but couldn't pull them out. 😡. Now with ½" hardware cloth & a movable electric fence I've actually raised my chickens to full maturity without anymore free loaders getting them. It was a terrible, expensive learning experience.
Wow I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.....Farm lessons are sometimes some of the most heartbreaking. 😕 our tractor is still doing great and so far no losses!
