A shack made out of old windows is a brilliant idea. I keep seeing precious duplex and triplex glazed windows, some with aluminum frames, on the bulky waste and regret the sight given the enormous waste of money and difficult disposal. I like the idea of building a comfortable, warm weekend dwelling out of these high-quality windows in our cold Central European climate!
Remember after the cameras are off these types of people get back in their warm expensive vehicle and go to their expensive warm house. Its all for show, what would you even do with your life if this is how you lived? Look at trees for 7 hours a day and essentially just still be working the rest of the day? Fun "outdoorsy"

Just watched and impressed love the windows, my hope is to build myself a 8x10 cabin for me, don’t need a permit for that size! What was total cost? Craigslist finds for cheap? Love it! Thanks for sharing
very fun. I understand you don't say there long but when you're there you'd love yourselves if you brought some pants to hang from the ceiling by the windows or something. Anyways. Yeah adding insulation and finishing the walls with wood (planks?? you know. pretty wood walls) will make it look a lot nicer. Also if you stained the wood, I think that helps durability (?? mainly just guessing), but would really bring out the beauty of the wood and help it all match/ go together. That will make it more cozy rustic instead of bland rustic. :) keep it up! Super fun!
I told you I love it and doing some birding will be great. The little wood storage is pretty cool too. Adding a little porch is going to be a nice touch. Keep the videos coming guys

Great little cabin! Love the use of the old window sashes. I have some off grid land in the middle of the forest surrounded by state land and plan to build a small cabin on it. Maybe a little larger - around 10 x 14. I'm 77 but my son and a few friends will be helping. It's been my dream for a long time.
