Dear Sir. Years ago I contacted to different institutions of United States to ask for some photos to produce the photogrametric model for the torch of the sculpture The Torch Bearers in the University City of Madrid. At that time, some of them offered us photos to do it, and because of this we could model the torch, very close to the shape of the original. Nowadays, with the help of restorers from the Habana Museum that sent us photos, we have made the photogrammetry, more precise than the modeled one. Because public sculpture sometimes is vandalized, we can send you the 3D model hoping you wont need it, but in case you need, you can use to reproduce the torch. We have sent also this model to the rest of the institutions in United States that have other versions of the sculpture. Please, tell me if you are interested in receiving the model. This was fantastic. Thank you for this. I often have a RU-vid video playing in the background as I listen to the information as I would a podcast or radio show. But engineering podcasts, including this one, are so much better and more easily understood with the video component. And it's a treat to see Dr. Leinhard at work. Here's hoping for more of these!
This company (Geotechnical Engineering and Testing) has one of the highest staff turnover in the business and that has been going on for decades. Just think why. Its an embarrassment to the profession. Can't understand how UH feels proud of this.
