But if they were really eating as much human flesh as this story implies, not just the occasional folk on special occasions and such, where is the evidence? Would these giants use the entire body of the deceased like another native would use every part of a deer or bisen? If so, where are the human hide clothing fragments? human bone tools, etc.? Even if official investigators hid evidence, wouldn't some farmers, trappers, ranchers find some artifacts and keep them? Where are the family heirlooms?

I’d assume they believed they could absorb spiritual energy from the bodies they ate.
