Nice watch, the 'SPEED', nice video, I have just bought a used one of these, I love it. The bezels tend to disintegrate after awhile, I notice that the bezel in this video is just starting to go grey, which indicates that it is on the way out. I also notice that the screws for the bezel are philips types, certainly the original DW-5600C had slot type screws instead, so these ones in the video might not be original. I also have the DW-%@)), the one that precedes this and I bought that brand new in 1984 for £45. It is still going strong. Some of the functions are better in the 5200 and some are better on the 5600C.
This Japanese model has the 8 position quick adjust clasp just like my JP 2000-08e dive watch. So nice to be able to make quick adjustments as your wrist changes during the day. The other identical non Japanese version lacks that feature.
Feb 14th, 2025 will mark 10 years since this watch was released... incredible. Seiko needs to ditch the "PRESAGE" dial script and stick with the classy "Automatic". Even the jewel count on dial is ok- I just can't stand the ruinous text on every new Presage dial, after this most glorious era ended. Whoever made that decision is a soulless marketing ghoul...
