I'd suggest putting the hoverboard item in an Auxiliary slot, I use the left slot as I'm used to that. It allows you to use the hoverboard without jumping, especially useful when playing with a controller.
cole isn't really useful for automatic transport(since medium storage silos are a thing) it would be helpful for personal transport,but then you should just use a hoverboard the problem is that its only 50% faster than a rail engine,which you can infinitely get

I'd suggest getting a medium storage of portable smelters to make a super smelter. It would cost more power to run, but seeing it smelt 8 resource nuggets at a time is oh so satisfying. It looks better when the things being stored are on medium storage silos, but it works just fine with a medium resource canister on either end. Just make sure to have the empty canister set to output enabled, which is when it displays disable output, until the first nugget finishes smelting.
Tip: if you want the trees to be really REALLY dense then you can put 2 button detecters( or something like that) to plant and harvest the trees foreven and when its packed with trees you can get rid of the buttons if you want!still the base looks really good tho.
I wish Astroneer would listen to their community more. It broke my heart when the game started dying, but now there’s rarely anything new. Im really hoping we do get a big update this year
