Hi pppanik, thank you so much for this video! I have been trying to get this effect to work forever! I have one question. What if the input source isn't equal dimensions... say 5760x1020. What would need to change in order to make the particle system work?
when I add my noise node at 20:39 and set the period to 2, my colors get inverted. The hole ends up white on the inside, instead of black. So it's white going into the composite. If I translate that noise, I can get a semi black hole that is a workaround but wondering what may have caused this
Yall don’t have to do the chop to top conversion for the instancing you can just merge the width and height in the DATS and plug it right into the in scale instance. Idk y they did it the hard way lol, thank u for the tutorial nonetheless
You can get both sine and cosine from a single pattern chop if you create both channels and set phase step per channel to 0.25, since a cosine is just an offset sine. Great video as always, thank you!

Really, when you get to such critical points that are likely to lose slower people completely -- like starting the animation for an object using a Z transform as you do -- then you need to be very clear what you are doing. Your keyboard entry in the tiny field in the upper-right corner is obscure and unclear. What you should have put as a subtitle at 4:18 is: absTime.seconds * .2, a reference to Python variable that will happen every cook. Please explain to your viewers what you mean by that.

HAP, use shutter encoder to encode your videos. it's just in the codec list when you open the program. it's gonna become a large file, but also works with live stuff like touchdesigner apparently. though notchLC seems to be more optimized, it should work just fine. it did for me at least
hey im getting a blob tracking error that only 2 blob trackers can be used with a non-commercial license. i think i only used 1 blob tracker following hte tutorial not sure why..
