Can't thank you enough. Just finished a ripper boulder opal cuttining class at rocky lap club based on your technique. Un real mate , cut my self a couple of jem quality sons. I over the moon. Thank you for sharing your knowledge my friend. Cheers.
I've never seen anything like this before. I had no idea of the process of what it takes to create such amazing opals. I love the narration about how the opal lets you know how it wants to be cut. So creative. ❤️

It seems like any truly nice piece of opal would NEVER have a hole drilled into it "for a pendant". Am I incorrect? I am eager to learn. Thank you for this video.
Really interesting video thanks for uploading. I have a question, when you were grinding the stones in the initial stages the water would change a few different colours, I heard one of you say that this matrix was found in ironstone, so I guess that covers the rusty orange colour, but there were some darker reds too. Did that come off the opal? or is the water just generally that orange colour so it's hard to tell?
