www.tabletopupgrades.co.uk - Home of beautiful game upgrades for your favourite miniature, board and card games.
My name is Kev & I love board games. Minatures Games. TCGs. LCGs. RPGs. I love tabletop games in all their forms. I love the stories they tell, the memories they create and the satisfying sensory experience they provide.
For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with modifying games to look better, be more thematic and have reduced set up times.
I started trading on a small scale via eBay in 2015 and today I sell across a variety of platforms and have made over 5000 sales across all platforms TableTop Upgrades has seen a steady growth and is now sending out over 300 packages a month to tabletop gaming enthusiasts & leading ecommerce brands across the world and is supplemented by a thriving RU-vid channel that has amassed over half a million views.
Thanks so much! Not yet but I’m working on it. Would you mind shooting an email to info@tabletopupgrades.co.uk and I can maybe send you a pre production sample. Don’t mind worldwide postage at my expense. Cheers!
These are amazing for Arkham Horror Lcg, and almost essential for any collection. Sooooooooo many great cards and the investigators are all banging (barring the mystic).
Products in this video available on tabletopupgrades.co.uk and etsy.tabletopupgrades.com The terrain set folds flat and will fit in an envelope you can check them out at patreon.com/tabletopupgrades
Thank you! Are used to have a lot of products that use dice but I kind of fell out with them times when the game instruct you to move a token from here to their kind of thing got me all confused! I know you’ve tokens for everything! I do however use magnetic wounds to track monster health quite often though as that seems to work for me. But I think more than anything else, I’m just too clumsy for dice!
Oh yeah! I'm a huge Malifaux fan! I have some neverborn but explorers are my love really! Who do you play? Also, Did I see you joined the Patreon as a free member the other day? Thanks for watching!
@@TabletopUpgrades Explorers, arcanists mostly, but I jump around to specifc masters I like in other factions as well like zoraida or youko. I haven't yet but I will follow, I love your warchest system such a good idea :)
Very good game 1 years ago buyed base 2nd version and about mounth ago expension but mine wasnt have that ship errata in box that was new buyed maybe 2nd print expension is and not added that. Also must have when this game buy is to get print of the CYOA book by developer maked also so much make that game a rpg
Awesome design! I would buy several of these token sets, if there were at leat six rings with a "2" on them, way more of the "3" rings and all in all more one credit tokens as well. The agenda tokens and the 10 and 25 credit rings are pretty useless. What does the reverse side of the click trackers look like?
Imagine playing a "Liberated Account": you´d need to be able to put four 3-credit token on there and four 1-credit token. Your product doesn´t allow you to do that easily and quickly. Liberated Account is one of the most played Netrunner cards in the entire game. For "Armitage Codebusting" you´d need 6 two-credit tokens. For "Rogue Trading" you´d need 3 five-credit tokens and 3 one-credit tokens.
Hi, so sorry for the delayed reply. This got hidden in my stack of notifications, you have some interesting points and I’ve modified the product to give some extra options with the rings. I’m recording a video in the morning and will let You know when I’ve posted it. Thanks again for your input :)
Hi! I recorded a new video showing the improvement that your comment inspired. I tried to give you a shout out but mid sentence said “the user in question” 🤦🏻♂️ Nothing makes your brain go to jelly like pointing a camera at yourself! Thanks anyway friend
I’ve found so as have my play group. They allow four “instances” of virus or power in play at once. Each of these virus or power tokens can be combined with one of the rings to show up to 25 value Virus or power on a single token. On the rare cases that you’ve got more than four instances of either, you could just sub in a spare agenda token, it’ll be pretty rare and most likely won’t be around on the board for a long time. If you’re playing some kind of deck that spams virus and power tokens and expect to have more than four cards requiring them at any one time, you could always give me a shout and I could include extra in your order. For most cases, what’s in the case is plenty. Thanks for watching! Kev
Is an amazing project! I’ve recently learned that they are releasing a new starter set called “Dawn” in a month or two and system update 21 is being retired, so keep that in mind if you decide to buy back in. Thanks so much for listening :)
This was originally created as an audio podcast - the looping footage is not always relevant to what's being talked about. I'll leave this out or make it relevant next time. Cheers for listening.
Why when talking about the games are you showing stuff, that is completely irrelevant? Why no pictures or video of the games? Just use the manufacturers pictures at least if you don't have your own. You're semi pushing non GW stuff so you are going to fight a long uphill battle for views so those you get you need to engage. Showing irrelevant minis and warchest stull seemed pointless. If it got better after 4 minutes I apologise. From your description of Carnevale I have no idea what the games is about. Pictures!!! Video!!! What makes it unique?!!! I play Carnevale and thought is this a different game? You're right Blood Bowl isn't a "skirmish" game it's a 3 hour borefest in my opinion, it's just awful. However GW broadly adopted the community BB7's rules and published those and I would suggest that BB7's is a skirmish game. Broadly the same game but a whole lot faster and shorter due to less miniatures and less turns. Skirmish games you may chosse to look at that may open your eyes about turning small sided actions into dynamic quick gaming experiences are; John Lamshead One-hour Skirmish Wargames Paperback with miniature and period agnostic core ruleset. Quick and easy to play, can be swingy but all that is needed is 2 sets of playing cards, some terrain and 10-15 minis a side 5 Parsecs from home a small sided solo experience (Scifi) KoW armada from Mantic Games (small sided naval experience based on Warlord Games Black Seas but simplified) Deadzone also from Mantic Games (small sided Sci fi on a simplified cube measurement system)
Thanks for comment Argy, this series of uploads were originally podcast uploads which I’ve put on RU-vid just to increase their circulation. The other uploads are just stills as they are Audio only Pieces. I thought chucking a bit of looping footage from my camera roll over the top might add a bit of visual interest but it appears it’s only served to annoy. I’m not an accomplished content creator by any stretch so I’m learning as I go. Dabbled on and off for years, just getting back into it. The fear of harsh comments has kept me away haha, I’m perhaps a bit thin skinned for this lark. I’ve had some right nutters some of my videos and it’s something I find difficult To deal with so I tend to retreat into my shell Rather than put out more content. Takes me a few months before I’m in the right headspace again to give it another crack. Doing my best. I may reupload this just with the original still thumbnail if it is so annoying, thanks for the feedback. As for the others, I’m familiar with most but the paperback sounds interesting, thanks for the suggestion. Take care Kev
@@TabletopUpgrades Thanks for responding, I had reservations about leaving the comment for the reasons you outlined. However I figured that if you've put it out there you want people to watch it and watch your channel going forward. If you are working in a vacuum then you can only guess what is and is not working. I really appreciate content that is not GW but recognise that if it's not GW it largely gets ignored. Keep going, if you are trying to use a visual media for increased circulation, I would try to make the visuals appealing or relevant. Adding a preface that this was originally a podcast would have helped me understand that. Given it was on RU-vid, I was expecting either relevant footage or at least seeing you talking to camera. I absolutely get that people are not neccessarily comfortable with that. Have fun, stay safe
All reasonable points, I’ll amend the descriptions. Appreciate you taking the time. I think it’s not helped that I’m trying to upload our back catalogue of podcasts at a rate of one a day to “catch up”. I’ll take your comments on board and keep plugging away. Thanks again Kev
Thank you for spotting this! I've corrected this error on my website. www.tabletopupgrades.co.uk/product-page/netrunner-token-set-with-magnetic-case I make everything to order so should you wish to buy one, it gets scheduled into production straight away! Thanks again & all the best, Kev
Love the laser cut foamboard, but I can't believe you are taping these things together! Use glue, my man. The adhesive in tape is garbage that breaks down over time, loosens up, contains acid, and in general is complete garbage.
Thanks for the comment! A few people have warned me about the tape being sticky or braking down but 3 years on from my first experiments with this method, there are none of these problems. It is perhaps because I use framer’s tape used by picture framers rather than generic masking tape or the other explanation is that it’s not really a problem. I couldn’t say which. I’ve seen people using glue and even pinning them together… if it works, it works! I guess everyone has their own preferred methods. Thanks again for watching!
As a former carpenter, I give you my compliments mate, very good for budget tables 🍻 And even us are messing about at times, it is not about which road you take but if you get there 😉
How did you remove the table top? I removed all the screws that are securing the table and it won’t budge. I think I see glue which may be reinforcing the top to the frame. Thanks.
@@TabletopUpgrades awesome, you are the only one I could find who used this material, now I am confidant to do the same, will order some tonorrow! Thanks again!
Wonderful work!!... Could you, by any chance, tell me where these cards were printed? I'm in Brazil, looking for a partner or something like that, but I'm quite disappointed with the prices and the cards boxes, prices and options... so... Anyway, congratulations for your art! Thanks for posting it.
I wish I could say I was the artist - he can be found as Johhn Kilink on Instagram - I was just a tester of the game and made some dice as a fun project as at the time I played this, the game wasn't released.
Thanks for making this, good prep for my first solo game. Nice clear audio, too. Slight correction at 1:33 though: Parry doesn't mean that the first attack misses, it means that the first successful basic attack misses. So Alt Attacks aren't affected, and it's not triggered when a basic attack misses.
As it happens I recently answered this question for a customer in video, check out from 2:30 in this link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HJVBuJDvsQY.htmlsi=qPtcRDh_vRNGzi_B Essentially it makes it easier to get in between models but the video explains better :)
Hi! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you! These officially released this week and can be found at : www.tabletopupgrades.co.uk/arkham-horror-lcg-compatible-tokens-upgrades Thanks again & all the best, Kev
I like the psyche mechanism, some boardgames and roleplaying games use psyche as well, but your mechanic is unique as far as I can tell. While the character sheet deviates a bit of the card game combined with miniatures that you presented a while ago, it can definitely work. I wonder if there's an app that allows you to do a card mechanic (something akin to a dice roller).
Thanks Wouter! - The Character sheet was always intended to be a part of it for tracking things you gather and equipment etc. Not sure if you’ve been following from the beginning, but crafting is a big part of the game and I intended this to be tracked via the character sheet. I agree about the travel game etc. The way I envision it now, is a spiral bound booklet that would fit on aeroplane tray with the character sheet held in hand. It works in my head, but I haven’t yet trialled this in reality, so the actuality of it may be different haha I’ve got a tutorial campaign sketched out in five parts which gradually introduce the various elements of the game. The first quest introduces general rules, the second crafting, third attacking, fourth brings it all together and the fifth is just a free play environment for experiments. So much has happened since my last big RU-vid push on this, I’ve developed some factions too which give a great canvas for future quests too, but that’s for another video 😅
Ah yes, a fine idea. You mentioned you liked the way they did something similar with the Descent boardgame. Krosmaster also uses the rulebook in a similar way, but uses the full board for the final game. There are a couple of books with maps for roleplaying games these days and depending on the scale they may come in handy for Decline as well.
The good thing with a book is that you can create a storage area behind the front and back cover for tokens, cards and dice. It will also help in creating a more stable playing field.
Hi again - just a note to let You know these are now live on www.tabletopupgrades.co.uk/arkham-horror-lcg-compatible-tokens-upgrades Thanks again for Your interest! Kev
Hi! I tried to contact you through email, thanks so much for your support. By complete chance I signed into Patreon to work out how to upload stuff as I've been actively developing DECLINE again and there you were! Check your email as I'd like to send you a thank you present. Also, new video out today and hopefully getting the beta release out before the new year. Thanks again & all the best, Kev
Not sure what happened to my earlier reply. I think this could potentially be an amazing travel game, easy to carry wherever you go and maybe even playable in a confined space such as on a foldable tray in an airplane. I did not get your email, but I will reach out through Instagram.
