I have a Juice 15, I weigh 80 kg, what size board should I buy if I want to sail in winds from 8-15 knots? PS, I wouldn't want a light-wind board, but a Freeride board
I hade 3 kite cabrinha moto fx and switchblade from 2020 like new as i impacted the water the broke 💔 slice the canopy. At the first hard inpact all thise 3 cabrinha kite the all broke 💔 slice on water impact . I never hade problem with other brand duotone switch kite naish ecc .ecc . Kiteboarding
Nice! Good and visual explanations. but I’m missing some words from Leon on a seat harness, not on possible restrictions of the movement of the legs, but on the support of the spin because the impact is quite different compared to a waist harness.
RE The new Dacron Penta TX. I repair a lot of kites and have found that I am finding a lot more pin holes in the LE than other models. I believe it is due to the porosity/light weight of the Penta Dacron. I noticed that on regular Dacron, like Challenger when I spray the LE with soap to find the holes that the soap bubbles will only come out thru the stitched areas. However on the Penta TX the bubbles will come out right thru the Dacron Penta fabric. So if air can come out thru the material then also outside objects ie seagrass, shells etc can penetrate the Penta TX much easier. So be really gentle with these kites and self land and inflate only on perfect sandy beach areas.
looking at this comparison, can I say that the North Orbit is comparable to Blades Trigger ? I am an old Trigger fan,and I am looking for a comparable kite that has a similar behaviour. Anyone have any ideas as to what kites out there are similar to the Blades performance ?
Hi mortdigo, we understand your search. Blade kites had it’s own feel. Hard to say, testing would Be the best option. And like they say: If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably leads to nowhere
I am looking into the capa and really enjoyed watching this video!! I got 3 questions about the bar setup. I know that Duotune had dedicated foil bars, but does the capa also work with the trustbar 2019 or clickbare 2020? And I noticed that you have the bar depowered quit a bit, why is that? And what would be the least amount of knots you think you could foil in with the 11m capa?
the trustbar foil has more depower line than the standard trsutbar or clickbar, so if the wind goes up in the high range, you will be in a trouble ... it will work of course but be careful. The capa works with all bars: low V or Y.
I have the same kite it's a real classic of Naish Legacy. in perfect condition. I hardly use it as im In Western Australia and most of the times the wind is blowing 25 knots. served me well. I believe old kites quality wise are better than new ones.
I don’t wast time with cheaply made foils you want a foil that will last for years and to keep it Assembled for seven months in salt water and take apart with ease and the best foil ride you will ever have Armstrong foils you will pay but only once not like the other foils you will to-replace\
@@Kitefinder Ended up getting the 2023 Orbit in 9m, now that I see your comment maybe I'll test it myself. In any case I love this kite when wind gusts minimum 23 knots as it loops great, and I even used it in a storm with 35+ knots gusts (although it was pretty crazy). Low bar pressure really helps my arms last through longer sessions.
Not too shure whether nowerdays improvements are just marketing or like trade offs for example with weight and stability or if they are really worth it. I think without the direct comparison you'd be never able to tell any difference from one year to another.
I'm wondering what shoulder brace you are using? I have shoulder instability and am concerned about kiteboarding because i'm scared i can have a dislocation in the ocean...is it working for you?
I am 80KG riding a north 26 liter surfboard. I own a 8 CARVE I can use from 17+. I owned a 10 CARVE but ripped it in half. Should I get a 9NEO or 10NEO? On one hand, everyone says size down on the NEO, which leads me to 10 CARVE to 9 NEO. Also, the old: “I don’t even surf with kites bigger than 9s”. But is the overlap between a 9 NEO and 8 CARVE too great? Will it be too much repetition in my quiver? 7s are not an option as in Puerto Rico it never gets that windy. I hear a lot about the low end grunt on a neo. Does anyone know the low end/high end differences between a neo and carve? What is the low of a NEO 9 vs a NEO 10 on a surfboard? Thanks so much 🙏🏻
