Hello! That is a coincidence ! What weather up in the mountains lately ! 5:00 is a great time to start walking but it’s rather dark for video. I understand the アカハラ: they hate heat! So now they spend the summer in cool places. The Japanese grosbeak is a lovely bird with a beautiful song. It just hates stopping to be filmed( quite understandable !). Little birds often hit the window of my house in France and normally they recover from the shock. Their head must be shockproof. I wish your weather will improve and that you can go again. Starting a walk at 5 AM is a great time to enjoy the refreshing morning air, though as you mentioned, it can be a bit dark for filming. Hello! It’s great to see the whole process from the choice of camera and objective to the Nikko lilies and back in the dark room. I am really impressed by the neat result and the incredible collection of equipment. I used to develop my films many years ago in the dark but it was never as good as this. Congratulations. Hello. The mountains are full of bird songs this season, making it the best time to be there. The mountains in Nikko are cool, but you need to be careful of mountain leeches. I've seen bears in the mountains a few times; they are very beautiful animals and I love them, though they are quite scary. Have a great week!

Hello! How lovely! The singing birds and the white flowers are like a nature poem. The narcissus flycatcher doesn’t like to pose but sometimes it accepts to give us quite a few minutes of singing 🎵. Hello!👋!This is a wonderful video so beautiful and quiet! I have never heard or seen the Latham snipe singing: I had no idea it could sing at all. What wonderful footages you managed to take in a deserted Senjogahara ! The birds singing and the atmosphere of magic is something I only experienced once late in the evening when I lost my way entering the forest. The crab apples are lovely and I saw primroses as well. You must have had a rare experience of peace and tranquility alone with singing birds from the chestnut eared bunting to the masked bunting and the アカハラwhich I saw 3 times In Yatsugatake and managed to miss completely. Congratulations for the Latham snipe and the cuckoo which is often heard and never seen. I must say I have never seen the car park so empty ! Indeed I hope you will have free time to go again ! Thank you for watching and always leaving wonderful comments. The Latham snipe usually only makes its call, and it's rare to see it. The Latham snipe's call is truly special, and I was also surprised when I heard it for the first time. On this day, I was lucky enough to see it several times. To encounter such good fortune, it’s best to go during times when there are few people around. Experiencing the birds' songs amidst the tranquility and beautiful nature of Senjogahara was indeed a precious experience. By the way, I started my walk at 4:30 AM that day. Yatsugatake is one of my favorite mountains, and I used to climb it often. It's a wonderful mountain that I would like to visit again if I get the chance. I wish you all the best. Thank you for watching the video and for your kind comment. This time, the filming was done by a mountain stream. With the recent increase in bear sightings, I'm being extra cautious. I've encountered bears about twice before. And then there's wild boars! They can be quite scary. Fortunately, I've not been harmed. It's still a great time for birdwatching! After a heavy snowfall, there is still a lot of snow left in the garden. Wonderful video and filming. The scenery is so beautiful and bird photography is really lively ( kestrel and Japanese bullfinch , trees full of small birds too). Thank you for your wonderful comment. Since winter has arrived, I've been wanting to go bird watching even more. My current wish is to see many kinds of wild birds in Nikko. The kingfisher is the "Nikko City Bird" designated by Nikko City, but I personally believe that the Dipper is the Nikko City bird, and is a very familiar and beloved species that can often be seen when visiting Nikko's beautiful rivers. Be careful of the cold.
