Hi and welcome to our youtube channel ! We are MIDNIGHT BURST, a Blues-Rock band from Lyon, France. Since 2016, we have played more than a 200 concerts in France and Switzerland.
We released our debut album featuring POPA CHUBBY and FRED CHAPELLIER : A Mazy Night.
On this channel, you'll find our compositions, music videos, lyrics videos, live videos. And we also make guitar covers, drum covers, gear demos...
I've just bought my tribute classic and it's really awesome for 650$ (higher prices than in US). After comparison to fennder player tele and another japanese tele I've bougth it due to punchiness and clarity, it's so strange for me now to listen to compsrisons and see thst they are darker than classic alnico pickups and these jumbos, I've thought that they are more like p90s
Nice demo. I’ve owned 2 ASAT specials. Both early 3-bolt versions. Sold both due to the super thin necks and low/wide frets. Weirdest neck ever. Unusual neck notwithstanding, try as may, I couldn’t get on with the MFD pickups either. Nothing like fender (Tele or Strat) or P-90’s. I agree that they worked better with some gain, but even then, I thought the sound was kinda hollow sounding. Clean tones was their weakest place. Imo, of course. Some people swear by these pups, me, I’ll take a pass. But I tried to like them. Twice.
👍 playing. Looking to get a G&L. But I wish when people are demonstrating a guitar, just play it with the amp , no extra.so people can get a clear sound or close. I checked a G&L out the other day and it's a telecaster on steroids ‼️🤣😂
I completely love the way the special sounds, it's so clean and balanced with it's EQ. I feel like the classic could get muddy pretty quickly in comparison
This was exactly what I needed. I can see the guys in the know were right when they said don't compare Jumbo MFDs to P90s, they're drastically more like Jazzmaster pickups, while Classic MFDs are like very hot Tele pickups, ironically more akin to P90s. Both are excellent, but the Classic I now see is more to my tastes. Although I also see why I read that some country guys prefer the Special, despite the more radical looks you can get a glassy hi-fi tone out of it that just works for that kind of music.

The SansAmp 'tweed amp, hot-wired, classic mic' around 1:30... if I heard that in context of a recording, that just sounds like a microphone in front of a cranked little amp. That sounds awesome.
On aurait bien aimé ! Mais c'est Fred Chapellier dans ce extrait. Et on a aussi Popa Chubby ! L'album est sorti et est dispo sur toutes les plateformes dont youtube
Sansamp all day everyday of the year at all times of the day and you don't need anything else cause it will handle everything in any situation including ones where "real" amps fail. There is nothing I'm hearing here the strymon box does that the sansamp can't do and I'm betting there are things the sansamp can do which the strymon box can't.
Love you Popa. Been a fan since 95. You deseve so much more credit for your outstanding skills on those wonderful Stratocasters. Youre a legend, my man. Enjoy Europe. Before it turns to something else. Be safe...
