Hi Brannap, im just having this issue since like 2 weeks ago and had some technicians working on it but couldn't solved the problem. They took out the radio and disarmed it but didn't see nothing wrong physically, nethier the amplifier, it was ok too, no wet. Haven't tried if there something wrong with the battery or the fusile, but it seems to me that it have to be something about the software. When you talk about the "Head unit" are you talking about the radio ? literally changing the whole radio or the screen above the board ?
@@carlosigle115 honestly I’ve seen a couple that say they replace the headunit itself with the aftermarket head unit I’ll mention some websites lexion, Hamilton, 4x4 ca, rhino radios
Mine just started doing this on Monday. I have 2015 250 IS F Sport. The screen is black, but the backup camera still works. I took it to have an electrical diagnostic and they told me today it’s not the fuse it needs a complete new radio. I’m so confused because if it’s the amp why didn’t they say this? I don’t want to have to buy a whole new radio because they said it’s going to be 8k! On Reddit they said it’s not the radio. I hope you figure it out because this is giving me a lot of anxiety and being a woman at the mechanic is the worse. I called Lexus and they said to bring it in and pay for a diagnostic. I’m tired of paying for diagnostics. 😢
@@ApplyingPressure84hey ! So I found a company that repaired it (instead of paying 3k from Lexus for a new one). The company is called oem auto audio inc in upstate NY. It was about $860 with taxes. Only downside was I had to remove the radio and mail it out myself. Wasn’t terrible but def took some time to figure it out. Had a watch a few RU-vid videos and what not to see how it’s done. Lmk if you need help.
@@ApplyingPressure84 so I didn’t find a fix but I did find a solution. Lexus dealership was saying $3000 to replace the whole radio. That was too much money. So I found this company in upstate New York called OME audio Incorporated repaired the old audio unit for about $860 total. Only downside is that I had to ship out the radio to be repaired. It did take some time to figure out how to do it and I had to watch some RU-vid videos, but it’s doable. If you need help, lmk! I might be able to send you videos to help
