Wow. I haven't visited this song in almost an year yet I get this in my notifications saying that it was uploaded just today - same day when it celebrates 12 years since it's actual uploading... Anyway, cheers to the 12 years anniversary of this very sentimental yet beautiful fandom song belonging to one of my favorite childhood cartoons!
Ya'll are all talking about your memories of this song and how old it is, but I'm here just discovering it. I feel like there's a thousand memories that aren't mine and I sort of missed out... I dunno dude I just like this dude's old music... and Scootaloo is the best. Edit: I just love Scootaloo so much. I feel like I lost her or something, Celestia it hurts.
6/18/2024 Half a year ago I made the sudden decision to move in with my girlfriend who lived 6 hours away. And while it was a sudden move that left me scared and anxious if I did the right thing, it has been some of the best time of my life so far. In those first few weeks, we got dressed up and slow danced to this song in our house. It was an incredible moment. I plan to marry her some day, and when I do I will have this song at the wedding. Maybe not the ceremony, but for sure the reception. This comment is to make sure I do that, and to stay loyal to her and make her as happy as I can. I'll see you all in about 2 years when it's time.
[Verse 1] If it's groove you're looking for Then you've come to the right place Oh Octavia can't you see Classical is not the type for me Now don't you look the other way Cause this music's here to stay Now wipe that grin right off your face Cause it'll all be gone when you step into this place [Chorus] So put down that cello and go grab the bass, cause we're swingin' Here tonight, this ain't no fancy music place You just gotta let it go, from everything that tells you no Even if this is not your type of show, your type of show [Verse 2] Now maybe you've learned a thing or two About how fast those hooves can groove Now c'mon just take a chance These beats will put you in a trance Now these things you just can't forget It would only bring regret But there's one thing you must know We can't stop this crowd from stomping on this floor [Chorus] So put down that cello and go grab the bass, cause we're swingin' Here tonight, this ain't no fancy music place You just gotta let it go, from everything that tells you no Even if this is not your type of show, your type of show So put down that cello and go grab the bass, cause we're swingin' Here tonight, this ain't no fancy music place You just gotta let it go, from everything that tells you no Even if this is not your type of show, your type of show, just let it go
Hi, im replying since i know youre still here- Im goign crazy thinking about what if mlp had jojo stands named after mlp/brony songs, and i think it would be cool and funny if tavi's stand referenced your song here somehow. Not sure about the exact name tho still. Once upon a Canterlot? Swing Swing? JoaftheLoaf-I'll figure it out eventually, lol. Dont know what the ability would do yet-
I knew your song in 2015, but one question, will you make any other MLP music again like you did then? I don't know why I thought the channel stopped existing, until I saw your music in my old mix that I didn't remember saving. P.S. Hello from Colombia, And I hope the translator has written everything correctly...
Having listened to this one when I was like 14, and now being 10 years older, it certainly does feel pretty nice to come back to listen to it from times to times Just wanted to share some appreciation, thank you for putting out something that has been part of my regular playlist and has literally seen me grow into a whole another person baha Have a good one :)
There is no hope. But the beauty of this song moves me to tears. It's the reason I'm subscribed to you. I miss my parents so much and I don't even know their names.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a classic, but how the hell does it have so many views? I mean it is part of my personal music collection downloaded to my phone and I never skip it when it comes on so clearly I like it. I’m just surprised everyone else likes it to! I guess I’m just surprised that they do
There's been a lot of stuff over the years that made it go up. Being features on Equestria Daily back in the day gave it some attention which led into the Animation that most people know it from. Afterwards it was featured in that Brony Polka animation that had a bunch of different songs and animations and that really set it over, especially as of recent.
i remember one time when i was really young i was scrolling through the comments on this video and i saw a "clop parody" of this song. like it had clop-related lyrics instead of the normal ones? like... "put down that mag and go and grab your clop." something like that. me and my pals are desperately trying to find it right now. i think it's gone. if anyone has any leads about the elusive "clop parody" could you PLEASE message me i am desperate
As somepony who delved into the Clop Community hooves deep back in the day, manely the music (parodies) and fics - although, my memory is fractured and fissured because of melancholic nostalgia and my absent remiss (brainrot) - I only recall two most vividly and potently; "Cloppin' To The Ponies" by "Mic the Microphone" & the titular "Clopper" or "Secret Metal Clopper" by "Secret Metal"; however, these themes were parodies about the 'phenomenon' itself, rather than a shipped sapphic sordid romance about two musically inclined equines who "swing" or perhaps Tavi prefers to 'encore-solo' after a performance? [At least, that's how I'd interpret and infer the title in this context]
I am here for the 11 year anniversary of this song. Time really flies by...cheers to all those who have listen to this in the hayday and still occasionally come back to it!
Dude I NEED this on my spotify PLEASE 🥺 there are other really good mlp song creators out there with songs on Spotify but one of the GREATEST mlp fan made songs ISNT for some reason????
