I finally got a dagon and just started lvling sheriff magnetars... it made sense... Now seeing this I feel pretty good about not going with otto and the elderich blight... Those weapons reload too damn slow 3 seconds PER round. dont be fooled.
Don't pay attention to the fact that he start with a bit over quarter of a million hp. Pay attention to the fact that he has Fenrir level resistance. Or close to it. I don't remember if Fenrir blocks 66% or 50%
It's an interesting build but not quiet effective. Basil is best used on a pure sniper build because sniper weapons have a range of a 800 to 1000 that covers atleast 4/5 of any map but basil special skill extends that range to make all of the map within sniper range. The second reason basil is better in pure sniper build is his range ability is useless in most maps because most maps have obstacles obstructing line of sight every 400 meters. There are only two maps where there is enough open fields to make mid range weapons useful for sniping. I think basil best case scenario use in close combat is pairing it with leiming and sonic weapons that have a dismal range but devastating damage or maybe rail guns like Webber and shocktrain.
His skill doesn't extend the range, it increases the damage of any weapon that has 800+ range. His skill does not work on anything less than 800 meters.
