I am a retired US Air Force Photographer and initially started the channel to post my photographic portfolios, it has since evolved into a way to keep friends and family updated with photos and videos of what my family and I are doing.
I took them to a local place that specializes in refinishing wheels, Premier Wheels in Smyrna GA. They put them on a special lathe and cut off a very thin surface layer like turning a brake rotor. Then they painted the areas in the holes/depressed areas with a metallic silver and then clear coated the whole wheel. It wasn't cheap, $600, so I had to decide if I wanted to buy a new set for $850 or have them refinished; I'm glad I had them refinished but I'm not sure if all refinishers would do as good a job.
@@bradfallin2698 Thanks for the information, Brad. I am in the process of (hopefully today) replacing aftermarket rims on my 78 - my 90 wheels while the original rims on it could use what you have done. But, ouch. $
Kids, frequent moving costs (military), schools, HVAC repairs, necessary car payments, other unforseen big ticket costs. I always wanted a cream puff in nearly new condition so everytime I got on track with the money something came up to derail my plan.
Was that a coolant leak in the picture of the right side of the car my 91 leaks out of the expansion tank everything checks out fine but every once in a while it leaks didn't know if you experienced this issue
