Saben yo quisiera que en mi comunidad mantuvieran las cocheras , patios frontales y áreas verdes limpias y ordenadas , pero no , no hay control y la privada no luce hermosa las personas no limpian sus áreas verdes
I wonder if this would level my yard? We have heavy, almost gumbo soil here. Adding sand could possibly help. Before you added the sand, what was prep was needed? As for the HOA, f😡ck them. Too many of them are drunk with power. Ya the yard looks tough for a few weeks the once the lawn reestablishes it will probably be the best one in the neighborhood.
Did this on my lawn in Houston to cover and blend over tree roots from big oak in my front yard. Only i did it shovel full by shovel full. Took most of the summer but my front yard had some nice slopes on it when i finished instead of tree roots sticking out.
My landscaper husband did the ONCE to our yard. Never again! That sand gets everywhere! I don't care if someone thinks they're being careful...removing shoes, etc because I swear that sand comes in through every crack in and around your house you never knew you had. I was dusting and vacuuming several times a day...and for at least 2 months. It even can cost your food. Just letting anyone know who is thinking of doing this after watching the video.
I hate HOAs as much as the next guy. Thats why i choose not to live in one. But you CHOSE to live there. YOU signed on the dotted line to abide by their rules. So who’s worse? A community that wants to look uniform and has guidelines? Or a man who gave his word to abide by a set of rules, then complains about it? This is America, if you don’t like it, move. But stop complaining.

I never understood this devotion to lawns, people spend hundreds and hours upon hours trying to get it to look a certain way and it always ends up looking like the same green pile of garbage. At least with gardens and small ponds there’s an injection of color and it feels less sterile.
Looks good and I was frowning until I seen the composted stuff coming in. Most lawns are fill dirt with no nutrients but with some compost you can pump it up ! Never skip the granular fertilizer time either. Twice a year !
Are you near Athens? Would love to connect if so - lawn looks awesome! My celebration has been struggling through this mini drought, but finally got done rain this week.
