I absolutely hate birds in cages, they have wings for a reason. It's like putting a person in a cage where he/she cannot steetch his/her legs EVER!!!! And people say "I save it from blablabla"
Birds in captivity are unable to survive in the wild. Especially when their native habitat is thousand of miles away. I don't keep native birds in cages, all of my birds are non-native. but there are people who keep native birds for newer mutations and colours. Bird psychology is different than humans ,they don't feel exactly how humans feel about things. Captive Birds are fed well,kept well and they breed in captivity without issues and always live longer than their wild counter parts. it's all not as bad as you think. cheers
