This is an excellent and well done video. The camera work, editing, and narration are all impressive. Though, I will add that we know a great deal about the detainees at Angel Island, and many of them were highly educated college graduates or wealthy merchants. The poems they wrote range in quality from simple and crudely carved words, perhaps the words of a common farmer, to sophisticated poems in outstanding calligraphy with references to Chinese literature, history, and mythology, something only someone with formal training as a scholar can write. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the video. Thanks! Winston Ho 何嶸. Independent Historian. Researching Chinese American History in New Orleans 紐奧良華僑歷史研究.
I had not heard of " Angel Island until recently /tracing my Ancestors Heritage and my heart sunk!!!! hearing the statement " Hall of records burnt down " which I am finding happened often along with the changing of records/paper geocide of the American Indians to now the " Native Americans" We are here now, today to correct the past/restore our Ancestors Stolen Legacy!
So for everyone wondering, Knuckles clearly has the master emerald underground in hidden place zone, so that’s why the island isn’t floating. Tails probably provided a robotic guard dog to watch it while knuckles goes grocery shopping in Tiburon or, when he is hanging out with Sonic and Tails in the mystic ruins.
Facts are facts and this was good until you put bias in the end. I can not give this to my students to watch. Too bad, it had merit. It would be a great example of how bias is used in educational videos.
