Loved Gallagher. I actually open for his brother for a show in San Jose during the Gallagher II era. I have also been a big big fan of you Bill. This is very nice. Best to you friend.

Thank you for sharing this tremendously fascinating insight into one of the most underappreciated comedy legends. I mean all my friends and I who grew up in the 80s worshipped him and rented all his VHS tapes from the corner video store. I think when you are very successful in any endeavor you will attract lots of haters and those you wish you ill. Maybe that s why he found it hard to truly trust others, especially towards the end. Thank you again sir. To think going down a “Just the Ten of Us” rabbit hole would lead me to such a beautiful gem…

Why doesn't Bill upload anymore? I was so bummed a couple yrs ago when I was in Kentucky. I heard he was going to be at comedy off Broadway in Lexington Kentucky but when I got there I found out he wasn't. Does he even do shows anymore? I hate we lost Gallagher. He was such a great comic. RIP and thank you for all the laughs over the yrs.

I’m surprised HGTV or something like that didn’t pick this up. It really would have been fun to see what junk your co-stars may have been willing to part with. I’m sure Heather Langenkamp had some old horror props in her closet somewhere.

This just reminds me of the chemistry between frank Bonner and Bill Kirchenbauer. I have cracked up so hard at the banter between those two. I started watching this show when I was 9 years old on ABC. I’ve boycotted ABC ever since they cancelled it. It remains my favorite tv show til this day. ❤

Bill that was such a beautiful tribute. A few months ago I laughed so hard because I was watching Club Random with Bill Maher, and he was interviewing Carrot Top, who told a story that Gallagher met with him in Vegas and told him that he stole his act by using props, which is hilarious, because from Vaudeville and circus days EVERYBODY used props from ventriloquists to jugglers, to Senor Wences. Bill, one of your funniest jokes was using your shoe as a car for the Matterhorn ride. Your whole act was very funny and even to this day I laugh at your routine. I got to meet Gallagher before several times before his shows and he truly appreciated his fans, taking photos with fans and signing autographs for a full hour in the theater lobby before his show. He really did appreciate his fans. He had a mind like no other and always told original jokes, that I have seen other comedians steal, for example his "Why do they use antiseptic wipes before giving lethal injections in prison?" At one show he started reminiscing about his family in their younger days and thought about starting a family annual camping getaway/resort for families to reunite. His mind was always going. He also as he got older, like Carlin, made some dark jokes as well. I never saw an emotional side to him and he never talked about any relationships in his life. I always looked at him as antisocial to a degree, a detached introvert with a brilliant mind. He loved making people laugh. I think I heard him tell a story once on TV that he hated school and loved to get up in front of his class to talk and tell jokes, which always got him in trouble. I think his mom and dad ran a roller skating rink when he was a boy living in Tampa and he incorporated the skating novelty into his early shows. Bill, you are a great comedian as well and I think your visibility in Gallagher's shows helped you be seen and helped your career along. I am a fan of you both. Thank for sharing your stories of Gallagher. ♥😃♥

I remember seeing the Gallagher special when I was a kid and being disappointed that he was letting someone else come on and do jokes, and then you cracked me up as much as he did. Still my favorite special. You and Gallagher are one of my favorite childhood memories. Thanks for making this video, and I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. It's a loss for us all.

He ruined me when this first aired in 79 to 80. Okay, so I smoked a lot of weed back then, but I just watched this today, and he still destroys me. I can't explain it, but he just always made laugh, especially when he did his most over the top and goofy stuff. On TV sitcoms, he was usually watchable and entertaining, but when he went full-on loony toons, he was hilarious.
