6:45 yes that train track was like the dividing line between roseland & evergreen park it was a different life on either side of those tracks..lot to do w/ the real estate values i stayed on the west side of those tracks on 107th lowe..& my guys would purposely go to the opps' house parties on the other side of the tracks & stir up shii..for what eventually i had to stop fckin w/ them..they were antagonists..im the only one left

I am the originator of footwork. I've told the story before. Footwork originated in my living room in Altgeld Gardens in 1991. The first time I did it publicly was at the Rink on 87th street a couple blocks off of Cottage Grove when I battled three members of houseomatics!
It definitely saved mines… and I don’t even live in Chicago. I watched Footwurk videos and listen the music since 06 and to this day I can’t stop because of the sound and watching the “Children of the Wind” dance!
This was dope! Loved it! You hit me with the environmental racism, and as I thought about I’m like daaaaang it’s true. It’s also made me realize that there is also environmental classism. The air is cleaner in Schaumburg than Joliet. The biggest industry there is mostly office white collar stuff. Joliet has chemical plants and an oil refinery around it. Y’all keep it up. This is eye opening. I enjoyed it
