I suspect you won’t give a shit about my opinion but as a non American it’s like you’re putting a wall up between you and other races by putting that in the title.
Great job Rodney on telling your story and showing you passion for what your doing. Please share your website and how we all can support you in your efforts to help our young people.
Awaiting the possible pip of eggs at the National Arboretum DC nest of Mr. President and Lotus. It's heartwarming to know that this gentleman has a hand in eagles coming back to the area, both in repopulation and clean up of the Anacostia. Kudos to you Rodney Stotts.
I think he would be in trouble with the law if he tried to trap and keep a young bird of prey here in the UK... because they are protected under the law nowadays...

To those saying why does the title have to say hes black? Yes I understand that pigment in his skin is irrelevant to anything ever. Thats a given. But its part of his story, part of who he is, where he comes from. We shouldn't have to shy away from identity. Its important Obama was the first black US president. Its Important Rodney is black. Because unfortunately in this world not all are always given equal opportunity. The fact that he is a black falconer is not important to me as a white man whos shared the same struggles of the drug world, I can still relate 100%. But to a black man who's also struggling, the fact that this wonderful man is a black man could be an additional source of inspiration. Not to only see things like falconry as a sport of old white men in weird hats, but this man did it, even after what hes been through. And that could open up the possibilities than many thought were not even imaginable.
Do you feel the same of White minorities that are disadvantaged due to programs against them? They have struggles as well. Picking and choosing who's struggles are more important than other's dealings is prejudice. You're essentially being racist to all peoples of non-color. I live in a city that 85 percent black from the government all the way down to it's citizens and I'm discriminated in every conceivable way because I'm White. However, I'm the minority yet blacks (the majority) get all the preferential treatment for jobs, contract bids and various other social programs. It's time we move past race and focus on sanity.
ESPECIALLY to another young black brother who could be passing thru also down on his luck this title is meant for them. Great film man this really moved my heart.
