We've had this unit in our master bath for about 7 years. The exhaust fan has died. I haven't inspected the damage yet, but the fan started grinding a couple of weeks ago, and now won't turn at all -- if you manually spin it, it's plastic-on-plastic grinding, as if it has dropped loose from the normal assembly. So far I haven't been able to remove just the broken fan, so I might be stuck replacing the whole unit. The heater and heater fan both work fine, the light still works fine, so only the exhaust fan has failed. Over the 7 years, I'd say we've put probably 4,000 hours of use on the exhaust (normal daily use). From the Delta manual, the claim is: "Energy saving brushless DC motor technology engineered to run continuously for a minimum 70,000 hours" So the motor may still be fine (you can hear the motor trying to work), but the bearings in the fan gave out far sooner. So far I haven't found any way to get the fan out to replace it. I have been unable to find any DIY videos or guides to help try to fix it on our own, and I think I found a replacement fan unit, but it costs about $70 -- and I can get completely new units for $85, so fixing is looking like it won't be a sensible option, even if it turns out to be feasible.
UPDATE: the fan does come out -- 2-3 screws, and the power connector, and then it's fussy, but it does slide out. It's worth noting because it means the fan can be replaced without ripping the whole unit out of the ceiling. I can also confirm the motor is in the fan unit -- so it definitely was the motor that failed. Some part of the spindle that held the rotor in place had deterioated into dust, and allows the rotor to drop away from the stator.
My Freckles is addicted to those stews. It's like kitty crack. He keeps telling me he wants more. And more and more. Says on the label not more than two per day. I don't know why, do you know? Because I've given him as many as four or five per day. Not to mention the cost. I'm trying to keep it down to two now like it says on the package. I'd really appreciate any input as I can't find much information online. Thanks and cheers from the desert in Tucson Arizona.
Hi there. I have a little problem with that door closing over the pre-motor filters. The spring came out & I cannot see how to fit it in there properly. My unit is only slightly different than yours, but the door/tab closure is exactly the same looking. Can you please help? Explain or Show how the spring mechanism works to hold it closed. Thanks Much!
I was just wondering how this worked that picked one up at a flea market for four bucks like brand new I haven’t used it yet. How do you like it so far?
Ok I need help… I cleaned my brand new tub with this and it has now stained it blue.. please help.. any advice as to how to get my tub back white again?
It will depend on the distance. The documentation of the microphone says it will work within 65 feet of the recording device with no obstacles. Hope that helps.
just bought this saw. all the reviews on youtube fail to mention the little bag with the extra screw and Allen wrench what are they for? it's the adapter kit. Guess i will have to rely on the instruction book.
Good review. I have essentially the same stove-mine is the Coleman Cascade 328 stove- and the only design issue is the lp adaptor thread is a little too short. It took me about 15 minutes to diagnose on first use. I thought it was something internal but I just hadn’t used the edge of my fingers to thread it all the way in; it felt and looked like I had it securely on. The cheap plastic latch button is destined to cause annoyance and the grate has too few bars on it, which may limit arranging pans on the stove
That first filter you put in actually goes on the other side of the vacuum. Right next to where the cord goes in, is another removable part, where that filter goes. Hope this helps you

Any idea where I can get spare parts for this unit. I am looking for the filter unit inside the dust container.
