Before I turned 30, I learned about beauty from magazines, visits to makeup counters and beauty stores, hair stylists, and friends. These days if you haven't watched a RU-vid tutorial on contouring you are living under a rock. While I love watching the world of beauty grow to a point of almost oversaturation, there is a lot of hype and glossy packaging to sift through. This channel is dedicated to sharing my honest opinions on all things beauty including in-depth reviews, swatches, and application of makeup, skincare, haircare, bodycare, and beauty tools. I also have a passion for candles and fragrances that I cannot seem to give up. I focus on luxury beauty mostly, but I am always on the search for the next thing that intrigues me. You'll also find content on indie, drugstore, and mid-range brands and brands from Japan, Korea, France, and the U.K. on this channel!
I just got the lotion and came here to see if anyone's reviewed it and you're still the only one! It's so good to me! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Second time I've watched this video - really good, comprehensive and honest - so appreciated. I have a birthday in a few days and I think the Pale Fig is what I'll ask for. Thanks 😊
Great for you. I would not recommend to someone with perfect skin. I don’t need makeup but or high coverage for that matter. But thanks for your opinion
the water gel came last night, and it add a nice healthy glow. i didn't say it was perfect, i said i have really good skin that i don't want to mess up with something heavy. I have color variation like everyone else, I am a human being, *why the attitude??* My comment was meant to emphasize that the water Gel is best for those who don't require coverage just evenness of tone and something hydrating this is for them. Not for people looking for coverage. Sorry it didn't work out for you. The BB classic is awesome tho. Have a sweet day and thanks for the chance to clarify :)
@magnacary read the sentence a little slower and think about how someone might take that: “this product is for people like me with with really good skin.” Share that comment with folks in real life and see how they would respond. Glad it worked out for you!
You’re review on the miracle balm really helped me actually, as I’ve been contemplating what couple to purchase first. 😅 I’ve funny enough been the most interested in the dusty rose and flushed. So thanks again! 🫶
I love this bag! I have 3 of them haha! If you need help with the stick pocket I have a tutorial on my channel about how I deal with that problem. Great choice, your money was well spent!
Once again I do so appreciate your honest reviews. DIPTYQUE’s fan base is so huge and so enthusiastic it can be difficult to read anything that is not an unequivocal RAVE - and at this price point I prefer the truth, particularly about the throw. I have all 3 of these and am in full agreement. Cotton smells like any one of 200 candles on the market with names like “Linen” or “Sun-Kissed Sand”…or a flower that in nature has no scent (hydrangea, sunflower). I did find a source in Paris for the Biscuit candle from I think it was 21(?)--and I have 5 which I will treasure. Not typically a gourmand fan but Biscuit is gorgeous. Thanks again!
Hey! I found your channel from your ys park g series video 🙂 I was wondering if you still like that brush and if it ended up holding up over time? Thanks!
yes! I recommend it for sure. I wish they sold larger sizes though. I also, wish I could somehow attached to the Dyson Airwrap, because that round brush is not great!
Its such a classy and gorgeous brand. I have alot of the makeup and skincare. I have not really explored the hair care only sample sachets so not sure on that. I'm blonde and the color palette is so soft and beautiful. I love the pale colors,
I have been using cc cream for years( really don't like foundations anymore, but there are good ones I sometimes use like lancome miracle has very skin like fresh moisturizing formula, with some decent coverage). I have super oily acne prone skin, erborian cc cream makes this my skin, but better look with healthy glowy light weight coverage( more like perfecting little problems). I always come back to this product, because something in this formula heals my skin what other makeup skincare hybrid products doesn't do. But the shade range makes me sad cause I have light -medium olive skin tone.
There all out of the indigo cream and the indigo over night repair cream made my skin super Oily and woke up with tons of pimples and do nothing for my redness
I understand the frustration of the pat mcgrath collector but we have to take into consideration the non collector customers as well. I am one of them. I can almost guarantee that the average customer is not buying every single palette. I have zero interest in owning all the motherships to have the complete set. If I did, most of them would sit in the drawer unused which for me is a waste. I feel the average customer is looking for an eyeshadow palette that can take them from day to night and they can where anywhere. For some people, sunlit seduction will fit that need. I just recently purchased 2 palettes: divine rose 1 and bronze seduction after years of these palettes coming out. They are pretty neutralish type palettes for me personally. Some people prefer quads for simplicity, some prefer 6 pans for a little more variety, others like the motherships for whatever the reason. So the overlaps in colors among these different palettes don’t surprise me. People have different budgets, tastes and needs.
Very well put Renee! Most folks are not collectors so I totally get it. Do you plan to pick up this new release or stick to the two palettes you already have?
@@BeautayJunkay The palettes just arrived in the mail a few hours ago 😆. So excited. For now, I plan to stick with the 2 palettes I have. Plus, I have the sigma ambiance palette which is the perfect “sunlit” palette for my tan deep skin tone. I have seen 2 reviews on the sunlit seduction palette so far and as of now I think I can safely pass. If I was looking for a third pm mothership though it would either be sunlit seduction or huetopian. I am leaning towards the later because of the baked shades. They really are special.
Hi! Another great candle vid, thanks! I see that you recorded this 2 years ago, so I’m sure you’ve seen that shopping at SELFRIDGES is no longer a haven of savings. 😭😭😭. SO bummed! Anyway, for those who don’t know, they have applied import duties now, so that $62 DIPTYQUE candle is now $74.40 with duties, plus shipping. That’s just for the one candle, so I think if you exceed $150 their free shipping might kick in. However the import duties go up commensurately with each item in your basket. Such a shame - but the better prices were nice while they lasted.
I shared my thoughts on it in the video! I think it works great for foundation and cream products! Some cream products may disappear a bit with this brush though
Wow!! I discovered this “shopping overseas is cheaper” phenomenon about 6 weeks ago when I found DIPTYQUE and Byredo at niche-beauty for major savings. Same shipping situation - free over $150 and my package arrived in 4-5 days. I was convinced that they must have a warehouse in the US but nope - it came from the UK. Now I’m cruising selridges and have found the Carriere freres tomato candles for $55!! Which is $24 less than what I paid at NM. And the DIPTYQUE Ambre candle 800 grams in the dark red jar is $85 - MUCH cheaper than in the US. I think I’m in trouble. And thanks for the video!
Hey :) Have you ever thought about getting Natasha Denona’s shift color liquid eyeshadows? She has only 2 that I’ve seen ‘Scarab’ and ‘Infra nude’. They’re very much of the big glam look. I’m debating on trying them out the price is like woah for me, but I’m not very familiar with her brand. I just got a mini palette ‘Fez’ of hers from Ipsy today-love the colors :)
I have those exact colors of the liquid eyeshadow and they are really pretty and are pretty great for a liquid eyeshadow. I don’t reach for them often because they aren’t my everyday colors but liquid eyeshadows are also not my go to choice either. If you really want to try it I thin scarab is the best - get it on sale!
Ok cool! I was leaning towards the Scarab color is more Glammy than the nude pink color :> I’m glad you’ve tried them out. Would you say it’s pretty easy/smooth to apply? Better yet, if you have the time a video impression of the two would be lovely to see a real look.
So now I have to buy the clean air candle. I wonder if you’d consider posting the names of the products you review somewhere - on the screen or in the notes? Lol I still have no idea what that candle is called so am trying to google DIPTYQUE basil clean air candle. Thanks again!
A couple of years ago i ordered one regular (6.7?) oz size of DIPTYQUE Feu de Bois from Saks. And they sent me - a case of 12!!! Two boxes of 6. That was - weird. And nice. 😳😳😳
